I did more chrono shots today with longer barrel (50 cm) GGDT works :) Even with wrong type valve. Other values i can measure but with flow coef i get it right with first chrono values at different pressures. Real results are so close.. with 5.5 g marble and 50 cm barrel = 122 - 125 m/s (400 -410 fp...

Hi again, Weather is getting warmer and i buyed a chronograph so i have some real data: Marbles, weight ~ 5.5 g 78 m/s @ 5 bar = 17 J 90 m/s @ 8 bar 102 m/s @ 10,5 bar = 28 J Airsoft BB shotcharge 130 m/s I did some GGDT simulations and with 26 cm barrel i lose 2,1 J because of valve rod. That's abo...

Ok maybe it will work but i think that long thick barrel/chamber thing will be ugly :) Smaller caliber and metal projectiles should look better in that desing. This is builded under cost of performance for good looks and i wanted it to be that marble caliber. Maybe i should mention that in first pos...

Hmm.. 28 mm OD chamber 20 mm OD long barrel inside that = Little chamber volume = boring! :) Much air + big caliber + short barrel + pretty fast valve = cool! :) And my desing draws chamber towards to original parts so no bolting needed. Trigger mechanism cocks same time when projectile inserted wit...

Would be cool to see another same type build :) Port diameter is about 13.5 mm. Maybe i can but is fast enough even now (i think :) ) One extend nut can be changed easily to normal short one. Removes couple grams :) And some holes in back plate removes little too. Grinding rod thinner from inside a ...

More testing... http://tekniikka.pommi.fi/kuvat/Kaikkee/splitted_cup_after_shot.jpg Better than plain wads.. about 60 cm pattern @ 15 meters http://tekniikka.pommi.fi/kuvat/Kaikkee/shot_charge.jpg Best so far 40 - 50 cm pattern with tight center group @ 15 meters Aluminium cans have no chance! :D wa...

Well plastic barrel works well and fits nicely. Also i like black/copper color scheme. Maybe if i patin copper to black with liver of sulpur or darken just with heat. Then shiny barrel may look good. If not black paint or other finish. And if i go higher pressures barrel will change. Nickel plated i...

Thanks to you all.. I like it too. Demon: No only Cordless drill, small drill press and dremel = "drill spins and dremel cuts" type of lathe :D That rear plate was pain to make from 5 mm iron flat. far_cry: Yes piston valve can be made much lighter and can be faster. Well this has enough speed to me...

Thanks! No it's not hammer valve in fact i don't know what type is it :) For different sizes of front and rear holes/seal faces pressure draws valve forward and trigger sear holds valve in place until trigger is pressed. Like it was hold piston in original gun. It cocks when piston (now metal plate)...
