Fascinating..I loved the air wave out of the barrel before the sabot and projectile in the second shot. What is the range of the orange projectile you were shooting?

I think that pictures may be a good idea, but it may be hard to judge because some pictures are easy/ier to understand then quotes...speaking of quotes

Quote of the Day/Week/Month

As I read through posts on different topics, I always find myself looking at everybody's signatures. I have seen many funny and applicable quotes about today's society, and was wondering if a "Quote of the Week" straw poll would be possible...I also was kinda hoping the winner would get the ability ...

@ Wyz- I really liked the look of the valve. Could you give the specifics on it or maybe a diagram. I know you posted a diagram of the entire gun, but I was wondering if there was one of just the valve

Yeah, but the shape of the gun is funky. I think I'm going to go with the valve/barrel in JSR's post, but I need help understanding it.

I actually looked at that one that Mr. Crowley and Crna Legija both recommended. The problem is that it looks like it wouldn't fit in the design I'm gunning for, no pun intended. I'm trying to post a picture but right now they are to large of a file. I am working on bringing them down. So once I get...

@ saefroch- I never really thought of using the showcase as a good source of info.
@ Gun Freak- A paintball as ammo. I guess I forgot to say that in the original post.

Would Like Help with Semi-Auto Valve.

The title says it all...and yes, for those of you who are going to say (in really high-pitched, yet angry tones) "look in the wiki or use search", I already have, but nothing seems to be what I am looking for. The ultimate goal is to have the gun fire multiple times without having to pump it up agai...

No particular reason. The question just came to me and I figured you guys would be the people to ask, and clearly I was right. I am just extremely inquisitive.

From all the knowledgeable answers in sounds like the projectile would have a greater velocity in space even if the pressure in the chambers were changed so they would appear to compensate for the loss of atmospheric pressure. However, as Tech1002 showed, it doesn't really compensate...Is that the j...

@ saefroch, you are right, that would affect the velocity of the projectile. Therefore, I am now modifying the question so the pressure in the chamber on Earth is greater to account for the 14.7psi in atmospheric pressure. That would solve the imbalance right? Would the vacuum before the projectile ...

Assuming that I did add 14.7 psi to the 100 already in there, it wouldn't really matter...I guess what I'm trying to say is would the force of the projectile be the same as it would on sea level or would it be greater due to the vacuum?
