600fps for an un-modified sprinkler valve pneumatic isn't gonna happen, even for a modded valve that is pretty damn fast.

It should get the job done. Just don't go playing Crysis on full graphics. What Os are you going to run, Vista will be pretty slow I would go XP.

True. I would only buy new computers on eBay and only with some kind of warranty, but I also know alot about computers and I can fix most problems, not that I've had to yet.

A coaxial would work perfectly in this design. I was going to make one but at the time I didn't have enough experience. I actually just finished my first Co-ax today.

eBay is your friend when buying computers. I got a computer on eBay for $800 and the next week I saw the same specs on a $1400 machine at Hardly Normals.

You do realise that in Australia you will need to get a Cat. A Firearms License in order to purchase a paintball gun. If you are under 18 then this is impossible. You will also need a gun safe to keep the gun in.
Man our country's laws suck.

I don't think you will be able to get a semi-auto in to Aus without a Primary Producer License and even then it is near impossible to prove that you need a semi-auto.

As far as I believe DVW should be fine for a combustion, especially for a hairspray one, but I am more of a pneumatics man.

Try and find a micro solenoid valve. I used a tiny 3/4in sprinkler valve on two of my guns and they are fast as and tiny.

He used the coils as a chrony. He put a magnet on the projectile and when it went through the first coil it stated a timer and when it went through the second coil it stopped the timer. Since the distance between the two coils is known, it is easy to work out the speed using S=D/T

You could use a solenoid to hold back the projectile and then apply a current and the solenoid would activate and release the projectile.

Look around at some of the pneumatics on this site. You need a chamber, where a pressurized gas is stored a barrel and a valve to release the air from the chamber to the barrel.
