Thanks for the quick reply guys! :) my significantly smaller 3-way takes 25 watts so 1.5 seems a little low That might be the case because it is a indirect acting one, I assume yours is a direct acting one, because of that high power input. you should be able to use it as the main valve for a 6mm gu...

Got a high flow solenoid from ebay :-)

I got a (IMO very cool) 3/2 solenoid from ebay for very cheap, and although I already did some researches and reading, I still got a few questions. As you can see in the diagram on it, it is a indirect acting, normally open valve, with 3/8 female ports, rated to 10bar and 2500 l/min flow-rate. (more...

The problem with your solution is that the dual piston mixing relies on the fuel being at atmospheric pressure, but it's stored at higher pressure in the reservoir. Yeah, I thought of that issue (pressure in the fuel-reservoir aka lighter), but I don't understand why this would only be a problem in...

@mark.f ...the funny thing is, IMO building a pump action hybrid, would be easier to build as a regular 1x combustion, because you would not have to vent the chamber between shots, what I find the most complicated part, and if you already build the metering system for a combustion, you would only ha...

Looks tricky, but build-able, I like it, especially the double-pump-metering-system. But I see two problems and one idea for improvement: - Due to the fact, that one pump-piston will have a much larger surface, there will be a torsional moment at the point where the (larger-) pump-shaft meets the pu...

@Tech
yeah I thought of that but I wasn't sure.
How hard is it to pull the rod in QDV's?
Do you really have to slam it against the piston, or would it be possible to just pull onto the piston, with a rope for example?

A regulator regulates the pressure in the first chamber down to a lower pressure in a second chamber, that is not anymore affected by variations of the pressure in the first chamber, as long as the first pressure is higher or equal to the desired pressure in the second chamber. It does that by closi...

Good Job! In the video it looks like you needed at least two tries to actuate the valve. Or does it only looks like that? And it also looked like your barrel flexed... ...and I didn't really needed a sign to the place where your face is located at your body. ...but at some people it would perhaps be...

lol you've already answered your own question :D I know :roll: :) Is the thin plastic pneumatic-tube/hose going to your air-cylinder enough flow-restriction or did you additionally slowed down the cylinder with a extra-valve in that line? What you could do is use a forward sliding blow-through bolt...

I read all of your posts in this topic, so I must have missed it. Would you mind telling me where you pointed that out? Or is that meant to be gathered from one of your diagrams? And you will only get (more or less) the same amount of power for every shot, when you incorporate some sort of hammer in...

well if it isn't then just use a stronger spring... Jack already suggested that, but it won't move anymore at all when I do this, I already tried. btw, just a thought: have you ever run tests at your qev-dcv-aircylinder-guns, if that happens there too, that the mag port opens, before the projectile...

@Technician: I would be glad If it would do that a bit more, because I can't see that effect yet, but maybe it will show up at higher pressures, like POLAND_SPUD mentioned ->check this thread for more. @nadjatee1996: I don't know whether you already know, or even intending to build it that way, but ...

"post-zombie apocalypse" :D maybe I leave it in this style. Definitely! Don't ever paint it! I really like the look of it, that picture is like art and really creates a atmosphere. ...btw... my idea was to eliminate the whole QEV/DCV setup by using an airtight o-ring detent which would remove the need for a fast valve. I even thought about using a o-ringed-bolt for the valve AND the loading mech. ...in fact that looks very similar to yours, only thing I have the seals on the bolt, and ...

Aside from the off-topic and the mass of different diagrams of different valve's, I understood you in that way, that you are looking for a valve that: -is just out of one unit (so no qev or other piloted ones.) -will have enough flow/speed for small projectiles -is capable of semi-auto-action having...
