A QEV is very sensitive to drops in pilot pressure. A blowgun will work very well to pilot it. A check valve or ball valve between your fill valve and the QEV is advisable as well for this very reason. I dont really know what you just said. Also, is there any diagrams around the site (or the intern...

QEV Pilot
Can you pilot a QEV with just a blowgun valve? If so that would make my life much easier.
Sorry if that's a stupid question, I'm very new to this.

How do you know what size QEV to buy with it though? It doesn't tell me what size the fitting on it is.jackssmirkingrevenge wrote:For $9 posted, you really aren't going to get a better deal.

Slide valve/ QEV where to find?
Hey, I was wondering if any hardware stores would carry slide valves and QEV's or if I HAD to buy online.
I'd much rather buy locally just for the simplicity if possible.

Clemsonguy is very correct, the easiest type of sem-auto is a QEV with a slide valve, or possibly a homemade springloaded piston valve, but that require more building. Right here. Both the QEV and slide valve are purchased. Hmm...I see, but that doesnt really explain how to connect everything. I ca...

I dont understand what you mean by back pressure tank? Do you mean a piston valve? As for easiest semi auto, Id say a QEV with a slide valve trigger hooked up to either regulated HPA or a compressor. Hey, sorry. I'm a nerf modder so my terms are a bit different. Yes I mean the piston valve. The kin...

2 questions, newbie help
I was wondering if there was any write ups for how to actually build a back pressure tank as seen here: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/piston-valves-explained-visually-t8157.html The theory is much easier than the actual build. Also, what would be the easiest type of semi automatic airgun to build?
