Re: I'm alive too!

Really glad you're ok! Now I feel bad for stealing what should've been your thread title! :P It always amazes me the amount of irresponsible people who are willing to put other's lives at risk by driving while drunk, underage, etc. It seems that a lot of sensible drivers get in accidents, it's not t...

Re: I'm alive!

I recommend taking a look at this , great little machining project to hone your skills and you get a nice little pen gun at the end of it ;) I followed that from start to finish when it was being built! It really is great, I think I might have to try something like that even if it's only something ...

Re: I'm alive!

Thanks jrrdw!

Really? I feel loved :)

I've got a lathe now so I might have to make it a little machining project... It is really tempting, even just make a mini one...
Oh great now you've got me started

Re: Airsoft GBB to HPA mod

Wow wyz, really nice mod! It looks like it was factory made! Just make sure you're keeping it at the right pressure, you don't want to be accidentally putting holes in people... :P

I'm alive!

I'm back! Which doesn't really matter... I don't have any spud gun projects going at the minute (well... I do have some unfinished old projects...) but yeah, I'm alive, and loving the new look of SF!

(Yeah I know, you probably don't know who I am... I never really posted much :P)

Just out of interest what dust/powder will you be using to simulate the smoke?

"Surprise, horse lady... Uh oh, not good"
I certainly would never have expected to ever hear that in a Call of Duty trailer!

Thanks for that post Jake, really helpful! Just wondering, would it be better to use stainless if I'm using it near water a lot or would carbon steel be alright as long as I take care of it?

Lovely looking knives there!
I'm working on a knife at the moment (though I'm cheating and getting most of it laser cut), full tang bushcraft knife, but I was wondering is there an ideal type of steel to use? And would you recommend using carbon steel or stainless?

Haha

Looks really nice JSR, loving the carbon fibre! I'm guessing the metal parts are epoxied in and you didn't machine threads in the CF?
I wonder what the performance increase would be if you used .177 pellets... (With a .177 barrel, of course)

That's a cool suppressor, but I was meaning like the Gemtech Halo, with the holes just on the "business end" :)

Sorry for so many questions, but do you just tap the end, (where it connects to the barrel) or does it attach some other way?

They look amazing JSR! Definitely compared to my .50 cal QEV Cannon's suppressor, which is a pice of copper tube shrouded in a piece of plastic pipe! How much does the CF tube cost you? It might look cool to have a sealed section at the end (meaning it wouldn't exhaust any air) and have some holes d...

Sorry, didn't notice that last post. The Breech loading is pretty solid, I was worried seeing as its copper, but it's pretty solid. I will try and finally get some pics of the suppressor up tonight! Oh, and something I forgot in the first post, lots of thanks to JSR for all his help with explaining ...
