Here's the problem to get a powerful combustion you need to build an advanced combustion or hybrid, both of which are inherently not simple (hence the name advanced combustion) :lol: But if you want power AND simplicity, a pneumatic cannon is just the thing....

The QEV/T piece thing is sort of wacko, but this gun is for sure going to be a seriously powerful weapon! Good luck

Nice, good job on the CAD. But if you are looking for simple and lots of power, then BUILD A PNEUMATIC CANNON!

No, but I still have the fill valve to deal with, and I built this gun mostly out of PVC so it isn't perfectly compact. Plus I didn't even know I had a problem when I built the gun.

@POLAND_SPUD Your design is certainly good, but the bolt has the opportunity to be open before the ammunition has exited the barrel, cutting down on the efficiency of the design.

Also you must make sure the hole for the solenoid is closed up. I just left the solenoid in on my cannon.

Lucky AK47, I wish I had 40000 PSI to play around with. Plus an AK47 has to push the bolt back very far compared to this gun.

If your barrel is big enough, try shooting toilet paper rolls out of it.
