Re: A render I made and gonna make more...

So I decided to make the executive's office from SWars, here's two pics, the first one shows the office, the second one shows the strange/cool ceiling light. Wouldn't an office like this be pretty damn cool? http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=25gs614&s=8#.U8KK4UAlfEc http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=i4p...

A render I made and gonna make more...

Ok I used Unrealed 2.1 to make a render of a scifi Flamethrower from the game Syndicate Wars. Took a few hours, I used unrealed because I already have been doing maps with it for 4 years and it is SO easy to use. But I had to make the spherical parts rather low-poly to avoid crashing Unrealed. The c...

Re: "Offtopic-posts-topic" NSFW

I just got out from 9th grade, it's all over now for a while...btw been recently checking the funny videos of CopperCab in youtube, pretty good even though his acting is very obviously bad and he's a clear troll. He's making money of being a idiot to millions of people? It's weird how many ways ther...

Re: Stabilizing wood?

That's pretty neat, though I like more colored stabilized wood, even though your does apparently have a brownish color, I really like a green, blue, red or a black too

Re: wood drying kiln

Oh, ok. I'll just make 10 or 15 4mm holes, that should be sufficient. You can always use spudding analogy, because this. Is. Spudfiles! Well, this is all for now, gotta go get some sleep, and thanks for the helpful tips, you've helped me a lot. Do remember to check out the ready statue, it'll be sta...

Re: wood drying kiln

Fnord, didn't you say a computer fan woulda been (pretty much) necessary? Or is it unnecessary now that the fan is too powerful? Again gonna mention drilling holes, if I'd drill holes to the barrel, should they be on the 'roof'? Because doesn't warm air gather to the upper level always? Just a few 6...

Re: wood drying kiln

Ok, I've finished the new kiln, one problem(that's partly corrected): the fan blows so damn efficiently that it rather cools down the barrel than circulates warm air evenly, would a smaller power battery help? The one I'm using now is 12 volts and 7 amps, the fix to the over-efficiency I've made now...

Re: wood drying kiln

Let's hope this bump won't get me banned...and let's hope it's the last one  Ok I've used the kiln two times and it's worked well, I've been thinking about making the light bulb-powered kiln, Where should the fan be put? to the ends of the barrel or to the top? (in the horizontal position ofc)...

Re: wood drying kiln

Here's the kiln in operation:

Note: I've removed the legs of the kiln (the ones that keep the barrel midair, the ones inside the barrel are ALWAYS necessary)

Re: Stabilizing wood?

Yeah, and if I would first sculpt the statue and stabilize it afterwards, would it dry evenly so it could be coated with lacquer then? Or would there be drying leaks or some such on the surface? Though isn't the surface of the piece wiped for remains and then dried with any of the three possible met...
