I know exactly what the problem is with that fitting... PVC is an odd type of plastic, it does not need to be dry before it is molded (and yes the whole part is injection molded around 1800 psi injection pressure, 330 deg F, no machining whatsoever) This is what happens when wet PVC is molded, most ...

In fact, the exact cause of that is because the parts are annealed (cooled at a higher temperature for a longer duration). Or the pipe you are using is extruded slower resulting in a better quality part. If I can, I usually check fittings to see if they are tight, if they are loose I send them back ...

well I would be very proud of that cannon, that is one nice piece of work! This cannon has officialy stripped joel of the "most advanced spudgun" in my opinion! Oh and bluetooth, Joel's cannon was not designed by joel, it was made by ed goldmann (sp?) and it is made of aluminum, it says so on his si...

yeah a lot of people make their first pneumatic cannon using DWV parts, its not as safe as using NSF-PW fittings but it wont injure you if you take the proper precautions. 1: Dont overpressurize the cannon, a fitting popping off at low pressre is not as dangerous. Since it LOOKS like ABS (solid blac...

check sprinkler.com, they might have a 1.5" or 2" sprinkler valve. Anything over 1" is actually kind of rare and not very cost effective, two 3/4" quick exhaust valves would probably work better and are already set up like a modified sprinkler valve. QEV's are intended for air and open a lot faster ...

I'm certain. Is that better. If it means anything, I'd stand right next to the pipe fitting when it was pressurised up to 150psi. Im typically not one to "diss" another forum member for suggesting potentially helpful information but i think this is a stupid idea. The fact that you would disregard s...
