This is my 5th car and only 2nd with power steering, a non functional power rack is a lot different to a proper manual one haha. It's a '96 Suzuki Swift, in mint metallic green, actually the epitome of a grandmothers car. Think it's called a Geometro or a Cultus in the US. Might give a petrol pipe a...

That's essentially what we've already tried, albeit with jet wash pressure hose, it lasts for a week or two and then blows. If a 350 hydro is what I think it is (somewhat non existent here in the UK haha) I'd be inclined to agree, except some googling is suggesting that power steering pressures can ...

Power steering woes.
Evening all. A short section of pipe from my steering rack has gotten corroded and gained a hole, so now I'm lacking power steering. The pipe is attached by unions, it's actually part of the rack and being an old japanese car (1996 suzuki swift) you can't get just the replacement pipe anywhere, and ...

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f365/anything888/CrossSection.jpg Intention was to insert the cartridge half way into some kind of equal socket, drill holes through the cartridge and socket, bolt it on, (which is what the black and grey things are, not rocket sperm as they may initially appear) t...

Re: Coax idea
I'm not too sure about your front endcap though, I would prefer to use an internal endcap cast with epoxy. Ah ok, my reasoning for the socket/threaded adaptors was that it allows different barrels and it can be dismantled if it doesn't work, but you'd recommend ditching them and just plugging the e...

Coax idea
Evenin' all. Came up with this idea for a coaxial arrangement whilst wondering with to do with my spent 88g Co2 Cartridges http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f365/anything888/HighPressurecoax.jpg The socket will have to be a 1.5" socket which is a couple of mm wider than the cartridge, so am planning...

CO2 cartridge/reg attachment and check valves
Soo I've got an aquarium reg for 88g CO2 cartridges which I'm using to fill my qev gun. (It doesn't seem to fill to any kind of pressure threshhold and then stop though, it's either just increasing fast or increasing very slowly, but that's beside the point). http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f365/a...

Cheers people! I've got a couple of magnets from a harddrive but am using airsoft ammo as well as steel bbs so I think a ball detent is the way forwards. It's not as compact as I wanted so I'm thinking of pointing the QEV upwards and adding a couple of elbows so the chamber (which will be drasticall...

6mm First Attempt.
Hey all, so I happened across this site while trying to find out how the CO2 cannons on RC naval combat ships work and got a bit hooked. Hefty dose of forum searching and trying to avoid posting noobish questions and I've made this thing out of an Airsoft barrel off ebay, 1/4" QEV, slide valve, and ...
