Re: 8mm Bolt Action QEV
Thanks buddy! Actually, the scope was rather inexpensive, I was skeptical at first because of the low price, but after I got it I was really happy with it so I bought another one just in case. As far as the brass fittings goes, I purchased all of them off Amazon.

Re: 8mm Bolt Action QEV
haha yea, that does happen. What I think could work is if the barrel protrudes inside the tee enough that its basically touching the bolt housing (the tip of the bolt would be inside the barrel at this point), and you drill a hole right beneath where the bolt tip is. Of course the hole would have to...

8mm Bolt Action QEV
Alright guys I'm VERY excited and proud to present to you my FIRST ever BOLT ACTION RIFLE. I've made several attempts in the past but I always gave up but this time I stuck on through and finished it. Operating at 55 bar line fed from a HPA tank, 18'' long barrel, QEV piloted by a slide valve. I too...

Re: Short question topic
I need the outer diameter to be 0.300''. I'm not too concerned about the wall thickness, though I'd like it to be 1mm. As far as length goes I only need about 4'' but I'd settle to purchase a foot just to have some extra.

Re: Short question topic
Hey guys, if I need pieces of tubing with very specific dimensions, what good websites can you recommend that provide such a service? I need it to be precise as well, I've looked on Amazon and they don't seem to have what I'm looking for.

Re: safety levels using pvc Pipe
I've gone up to 400 PSI with schedule 40 1/2'' PVC and nothing happened. Though on the side of it, it says its rated for 700 but I never tested it to that extent.

Re: Homemade HPA v2 engine
hmm I'm not much of an expert in the airsoft field but, as far as shooting long distance goes, whats the effective range of your build? Say you upped the pressure a bit, and then you get like 500 FPS. Does that mean it'll shoot further AND maintain accuracy?

Re: Homemade HPA v2 engine
.25g... so 6mm? So this is for airsoft I'm guessing, I thought you were gonna go hunting with this . But still, 360 FPS at 60 PSI, that's impressive. Good stuff.

Re: Homemade HPA v2 engine
60? Were you just testing the setup at that pressure or does the gun actually operate at 60 PSI? I mean even with a huge chamber I can't see how 60 PSI has any power behind it. What projectile are you shooting? Velocity?

Re: Homemade HPA v2 engine
oh my god that is beautiful. Just out of curiosity, most of the solenoids I saw around amazon were maxed out at or below 200 PSI. Is your feed outputting in that range also?
Edit: Nvm, just re-watched the video and realized it wasn't a solenoid . Anyways, would still like to know.
