Canada prohibits spudguns over 20mm
So it looks like my 20mmplus bores are now prohibited!!! What do I do... get them grandfathered and so non-transferable? Do I get a compensation for turning them in? All my pneumatics are firearms in Canada (over 500fps) and I think any combustion would be too (combustion = fire). Not happy with the...

Re: Question regarding spigot mortar style ammo.
I have been thinking about hollow spigot launchers more now... was it this thread that caused it or is it the Umarex Air Saber? For the arrow launchers do they not worry about the dead space? Maybe not since they are hunting-oriented. BTW fins don't need to be perfect especially on long projectiles....

I like your thinking. I fooled around with the dowel inside the hollow projectile idea too, but gave up because I am lazy.

Re: Nerf Launcher Valve/Design Question
I can't tell from the video but it could just be a linkage to a blowgun valve given the low performance, multi-shot capability, and apparent necessity to tap the trigger very briefly

Re: Low-friction/Specialty Ball Valves?
I've noticed that variability also. I wonder what that is? Deformation of the seal that creates a detente? Temperature? I play with the valves at the building center and notice that new ones are often very stiff. My 3/4" ball valve gun had a heavy hammer driven by bungees that easily overcame openin...

Stain is drying on the stock now. I'm going for something like... https://atlantic-firearms-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/media/sylius_shop_product_original/product/kel-tec-rbd-survival-223-rifle-11.jpg but more plant based, sustainable, carbon neutral and stuff. Also better trigger which isn't saying much ...

Quest for paintball alternatives
I have been seeking alternatives to paintballs for some time and thought I had the perfect solution in the "dimpled wax shell powder balls" but they are now not available apparently despite the continued listing by several retailers. I tried some yellow foamies which are fairly precise (52 grains+- ...

Velocity test on a can of water:
Almost finished...
It has a 1/2" qev, 0.875" barrel. My first breechloader I think. Barrel short enough to muzzleload an arrow.
Going for a California-legal look.

Re: Syncing of multiple valves.
I hope to see you build this with shutoffs on the pilots for testing... it's very interesting. I had planned a 3 by 1" valve launcher piloted by a 1" until I realized one of the three is damaged. Piloting 2 by 1" with a 1" seems extreme, though I got the valves for free so whatever, right?

Re: Syncing of multiple valves.
I was planning the same with irrigation valves. I guess the question is: how to know which one is opening first? If we knew that we could alter the tube length to the pilot valve to synchronize the openings of the main valves. Using identical-ish valves on a long barrel launcher with heavy projectil...

Re: CO2 cartridges as projectiles
When I tried this I had similar results. I tried adding mass to the nose, tried some poorly made fins, and I think my long barrel helped, but never got more than 150 feet (measuring straight... projectile often covered much more than that in various directions) Perhaps with enough mass on the nose a...

Every time I hack one of these together with an assortment of adhesives and fillers instead of fittings and craftsmanship I tell myself it's the last time. It often leaks, and then it gets ...
