Re: QEV and building up

What country are you in? I managed to source Humphries QEVs in the UK. Check their website as iirc it lists distributors in various countries. As said above I am sure you wont have any problems with a Chinese one from ebay and if you do they are cheap to repair/replace. I used one of these QEVs and ...

Re: Bolt Action Bullpup .45 cal (NEW VIDEOS)

Sorry if I missed it, but when you were using ball bearings coated in wax to give a nice seal, how do you manage to take them out the wax and what do you put them on to stop them from having a flat side, or do you hold them until cooled enough, also what do you hold them with? Sorry for all the ques...

Re: Bolt Action .45 cal (UPDATE: New Barrel and Shooting Vid

Since moving to a 10.5" barrel rather than the longer copper one have you seen a noticeable decrease in power? Or is your valve so fast it makes little difference?

Re: Homemade Big Bore .545 cal Airgun (Update Damage Pics)

Ok, thanks sorry I missed the description under photo. I really love the design/style of the gun, especially the stock, really finishes it off giving it a professional manufactured look, but at the same time better as it is unique, I hope you are proud of it, I know if I could make something that sm...

Re: Is spudding dead?

Sorry, maybe I should have been clearer, Google translate helps alot, its just I have trouble understanding the more technical posts, then again I don't understand all the posts on here about how the guns work, so maybe it is more down to me and lack of knowledge rather than Google translate!!!

Re: Paintball tank vs other air source

Only thing I would say from my experience using a paintball tank is to make your gun as efficient as possible otherwise the paintball regulator cant keep up with demand for air. My gun was a repeater though and my skills aren't great and my lathe is old I used a paintball tank along with a chamber o...

Re: Is spudding dead?

Sort haven't read the thread, but I am sure there are quite a few members like myself who visit everyday, I currently have two projects on the go, a twin parallel qev gun and a blow forward bolt solenoid piloted gun, as soon as they are done I will post them up, but progress is slow, not because I d...

'O' ring use for sealing pistons etc.

Hi, just background the inner diameter of the outer tube is approx.19mm. The design is part of a blow forward design using either nylon piston but probably brass when it arrives. Should the piston/cylinder be basically as close fit as possible and not bother with o rings, if not and l rings are used...

Re: Homemade Big Bore .545 cal Airgun (Update Damage Pics)

STUNNING - really love the look of the whole gun and particularly innovative stock. I realize there are a few QDV diagrams around and I have read about them, but most seem to be larger calibre. If you have time could you please explain in simple teerms how your QDV is constructed, functions as would...

Re: Which is quicker, QEV + solenoid or ball valve with spri

Have a look at Bill Gilmour vis on Youtube of air cannons, ball valve weapons can be very powerful, although he uses very long barrels, iirc he timed his ball valve opening around 30ms.
