Anyone understand pneumatic valve symbols?
If so please could you tell me if this is a normally open valve? A member previously supplied me with this diagram, but the diagram on the valve picture looks slightly different, so just want to make sure. I am wwanting to use it as a fill/pilot valve on a qev gun
Thanks Ian
Thanks Ian

Re: So... who's about?

Re: Free cannons to good home
Hi where a bouts in south of England are you? I am in Hampshire, I have had a few usernames due to forgetting passwords, some are possibly IanB. I haven't posted any cannons up really as never had a finished one, 2 of my current projects I am trying to fit in are a solenoid operated blow forward rep...

.50? caliber cannon with reload mech on side
I have searched but have been Unable to find. The topic features a rifle style rather Than pistol and the magazine reloading mechanism is at 90 degrees to the gun and if irrc the magazine tube runs up olong side the barrel. It is reloaded by pulling/turning the lever which traps a ball which is push...

Re: I really should know this - QEV ports
Thanks for info, just wanted to get it correct as going to use thread sealant instead of PTFE tape to look tidier. Thanks.

I really should know this - QEV ports
Hi, I have a Humphrey QE5 QEV, please can some one verify which port goes where, I pretty sure my chamber goes on the out, its just the 'in' and 'exhaust' I need to know, Does the barrel go on the exhaust and the supply/pilot go to the in port? Are male NPT threads tapered or straight, nine seem tap...

Pulses of or using QEV
Can someone have a look at the cannon setup on this page and tell me is a 3/2 solenoid being used to shit off air supply and then vent or will a regular 2/2 solenoid working the qev in the same way? I have a Humphries qe2 and qe4 and not the one shown although looks very similar. http://www.hauntedy...

Re: Arrow shooting sniper airgun (work in progress)
Looks great! Particularly like the hand grip/trigger guard. I can't really see on my phone but is it carved from a thick piece of wood or did you bond multiple layers of plywood? Was it difficult to get it shaped so perfectly? Just my personal preference, but why did you choose not fully enclose the...

Re: full size football
There is a combustion cannon firing a soccer ball on YouTube, found it quite hilarious the size of the thing, just hope it didn't hit anyone!

Re: ebay QEV thread size
Just watch out for PT (read it may be a Japanese or Asian standard) also bear in mind some if not all the black box style ones have a smaller outlet orrifice than the advertised pipe size.

QEV modding and pilot/tank filling
I got myself a couple of new QEVs (Humphries QE2 and QE4 iirc) due to reading positive comments. I am just going to set them up with a slide valve and tank to test their capabilities. I have been trying to find out what the benefits/disadvantages of modding a qev via spring and small to chamber fill...

Re: Gunfire Sound Generator
Pulsing a 1/2 or 3/4 inch solenoid (can't remember size) with nothing attached to it and 60bar makes quite a bang, doubt it sounds like an AR15 but if you aren't expecting it it will make you jump.

Re: Arrow Shooting Full Auto Coke Bottle Gatling
Really nice to see something a bit different, I like it, but those Coke bottles look abit scary at 200psi! I Read that the UK has similarly stupid laws, although have believe there is no reason you aren't allowed to make a air gun in Uk but it can't be over 12FPE, sorry not sure what that is in Joul...

Re: Do I need a normally open or normally closed 2/3way valv
Ha ha that's probably why I was getting much luck searching!!! Thanks for the input. Anyone got advice on a Clippard etc 3/2way valve as a I see some of the models are rated at higher than the regular 150psi/10bar. I was looking at the MJ-V3 but after contacting them found it to be normally closed, ...
