Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
Be careful with PVC in colder weather, it tends to get brittle as the temperature drops. I’m not sure if I should admit this... but it wasn’t actually that cold. Maybe mid 40’s (°F) Those boots were just so comfy!... and close to the door. We did have a constant breeze that wasn’t too strong, but i...

Re: M700 QEV air gun
If you want to make the scope more authentic you should complete the scope rings. It should look like this.

Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
More importantly to me, each of the diaphragms have a return spring so I was not wrong to fit one in. The missing springs might be how/why I got them
I just imagine these valves back in the plant refusing to seal up and dumping air for an eternity and a half :bounce:

Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
Without being able to see the internal configuration of your valve it's hard to tell if this is the case, do you have a part number on it? Hows this? I couldn’t figure out what I was looking for when I looked it up. DFA08579-B3BC-48F2-BE93-01F50B68F8E4.png DF385D6E-4F96-4234-8B76-1EBB64905C20.png T...

Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
I took this from another post because what I’m asking applies here. And now that you mention this it is going to bug me that I’m not using the valve correctly. If this is done and no pressure goes to the trigger during fill up, my fear is that the gun may fire when the safety valve is switched and t...

Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
I'm guessing it was a modular archery target like this one . Yes it was a modular archery deer, but the shot went clear through and split the union between the two halves to pieces. The deer is broken... but still usable. Needs more golf balls. And now... MK-IV I went scientific and tension tested ...

Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
So... because I can’t leave well enough alone... EF3BD865-F58A-4CCA-9461-7C715BE162B3.png My only problem is; as it is plumbed now, it fills through the pilot valve. I have since discovered that my QEV does not allow me to fill it through the pilot valve. So basically I have a closed chamber with no...

Nothing better than a visual demonstration, it will serve as a good manner of illustrating the importance of barrel support of future builders. Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
There was a MK I before all of this that... well let’s just pretend that never happened. We won't judge, you're among friends here :) It was a 1” sprinkler valve that I modded to actuate pneumatically. Still didn’t get a crisp enough release to satisfy my inner demons. And I guess... before that wa...

Re: Possible safety valve
I discovered a solution that I am happy with on my launcher. I was able to put a ball valve on the end of the pilot. My situation was easy because my valve was designed with a separate pilot valve, exhaust valve, and business end. This could be done by using a “trigger QEV” on the pilot valve of you...

Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
My understanding, perhaps wrong, was that it's easier to charge through the pilot valve. I’m not sure if I am able to charge through my pilot valve since it is a two diaphragm valve. I do know that I cannot charge through the “exhaust” port, but my interest now is to see if the pilot valve is usabl...

Re: 2 Inch QEV Cannon
So here it is. The almost straight from the legal pad golfball cannon MK III. There was a MK I before all of this that... well let’s just pretend that never happened. I realized that the exhaust port on the QEV could use a ball valve as a safety of sorts. When the trigger releases the pressure off o...

Re: Possible safety valve
Could be a three-way ball valve with one end connected to the supply, one to the trigger and one open to the atmosphere. If this is done and no pressure goes to the trigger during fill up, my fear is that the gun may fire when the safety valve is switched and the pressure from the valve rushes to t...
