Re: Pneumatic Pistol Throttle Valve?

This might come in handy for you...you know what the temperature is where you are, this will help you determine the pressure, and also help determine what is "properly" rated for the use. http://co2airguns.net/Collection/technical_data/Press_Temp_Data/vapor%20pressure%20diagram%20for%20CO2.jpg Did ...

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

Hey matey, In regards to the butane cans, K-mart has a pack of 3 cans for around $5, all found in the camping/outdoor section ;) Hammer valves aren't exactly sold as product but are pretty easy to make with some basic hand tools. I've seen that video before and the guy has a few other videos buildi...

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

Doesn't matter what size cartridge amigo...it has co2 inside which needs to be expelled...just a slight tap with a nail..you'll get a little woosh and its all out. The 12g cartridge im not sure about, just order yourself a 88g co2 cartridge from ebay, they have threaded ends. Drive a nail in...

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

Get a 88g co2 cartridge, they hold 1000psi. Just screws right in. https://preview.ibb.co/gKgXEm/FOSTERPARENTLOL.jpg Thank you all! If it were a 12g cartridge it wouldn't screw in as you have to pierce the cartrige, am I right? Gel balls, you're gonna need to use fairly low pressure, they split very...

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

I plan on shooting Gel-Balls, up to a distance of 15m to would be great. In regards to the QEV how would I attach a CO2 cartridge to one, in regards to fittings and etc. I fear that a 12g cartridge would run out after a couple shots.

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

Hey Jack,

Thanks for the help! By the looks of it there is no viable option to purchase a valve of eBay and a bunch of other stuff and “hook” everything up together. Regarding the paintball internal mechanism I don’t think I would have enough space to fit that into the rifle shell I currently have.

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

what other options do I have? This is contingent on the answers to the following questions: - what's your budget? - what technical skills do you have? - what tools do you have access to? - what materials do you have access to? 1. My budget is fairly decent I suppose, willing to spend around $50-$10...

Unfortunately I can't draw to save my life.

But let me rephrase want I have in mind. I want to make the most compact pneumatic cannon using a CO2 cartridge, with the QEV not being an option, what other options do I have?

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

This project might be of interest: http://www.spudfiles.com/airsoft-pellet-database/topic20236.html#p276030 Thanks Jack, problem is I want to fit the pneumatics to my 3D printed rifle which incorporates my own design of trigger, magazine etc so the valve in-built trigger is a bit of a problem for m...

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

Thank you all for your input. I'm just trying to design something small using only a CO2 cartridge, if QEV is not an option what would you all recommend.I tried a simple search of "Hammer Valve" but nothing identifiable came up. As I'm just entering the world of pneumatics and I don't really fancy b...

Re: Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

Hey mate! Thanks for the constructive criticism much appreciated. I don't understand with regards to the chamber, any pointers on that would be also much appreciated. I've got a 3D Printer and have designed many things from various contraptions to drones, so no problem with the ammo, magazine etc. T...

Help with First Pneumatic Cannon

Hey all! Relatively new to pneumatics - I've searched past threads endlessly but still haven't found what I exactly want. I'm sorry if any of this is actually obvious. I'm currently starting my first mini semi auto project, the main focus of this project is for it to be compact therefore using CO2 c...
