My first S&P (NEW VIDEO)

My friend is the one really into combustion cannons, so I said "Hey why not give it a shot." I kind of sprang on the idea while I was in the middle of Ace Hardware looking for things for a coax design. They didn't have the right reducer so I'm like hell with it and bought some PVC. This store worker...

One would think the burst disk fragments alone would be enough to tear a target to shreds They are. Larda showed me a slow motion video of a shot where the teflon sabot fragmented in the barrel, and the sabot bits and brass from the disk shredded the wooden target like grenade shrapnel. Heres my an...

So Ive seen people using layered foil burst disks. So for example, barrel sealers use a sealing face made of (insert rubber here). Burst Disks use a XXXXXX and are usually made of XXXXXX. lol

Okay well I looked at Larda's hybrid some more, and since he used burst disks, I figure that is the way to go. One question is, how would you mount/place/configure the burst disk in the cannon? Would there be problems making it airtight?

The taxes are the thing that kills you. Kinda off topic (still relating to store workers) I went to guitar center to pick up a 15 watt amp once, and this guy kept on trying to sell me the 30 watt. Im like, well maybe later when i have money. He kept on persisting that I should buy it. I think I said...

I agree with you. But what I am doing by posting this thread, is letting some people answer my questions while i am away. I can let people answer my questions and then multitask by reasearching at the same time. If you know what I mean. I admit though...I am pretty lazy.

Re: Okay, here we go...

3) Since the cannon is going to be pressurized before combustion, how would I seal the barrel? If you don't know that I would really recommend doing A LOT more research before attempting to build a hybrid. That is probably one of the first things you learn about hybirds. I knew that about 90% of pe...

Hybrid Questions

So I live a boring life, right..... Well I have built several pneumatics in my past and have knowledge. Me and my friends have built 2 or 3 combustions over the years... But now I want to bump it up a step and TRY and move on to hybrids. It seems if you want to build a hybrid you need to know the sa...

I...

I also have yet to find alteast a decent hardware store. Ive been to junkyards and I have found more usefull things there than at Home Depot/Lowes etc. When I find a store near my area that sells safety valves...Ill know that thats the store for me.

Well ive never brought any of my valves over 100psi because I have a pump thats being held together by duct tape (not really, but it gives you an idea of how crappy it is) So when I get a compressor, i would like to know how high it is safe to take it
