no doubt a hose doesnt have that much presure but it isnt the amount of pressure generating the most amount of force it is the front birdie piece and the action it makes as it leaves the barrel. For some reason the velocity is extremely high.

You can dought it but its true when the badmitten piece leaves the tube it creates a reflex type action firing the marble at least that far. Youd be supprized by what a hose can do.

I was bored about six months ago and decided to experiment with a cannon using pressure from a garden hose.
