balls of steel

i am making a cannon that has a barrel of 2.5 inches and i just happen to have some solid steell ball bearning that exact size. i dont know but i think that is capable of some damage. they are very heavy too. cant wait till im done with the cannon. :twisted:

the sprinkler valve is used to realease the pressurise air in the air chamber. :!: with out a valve u have no cannon. well that aint completly true because u have burst discs. if this dont help use the spud wiki. :wink:

i dont think they make bbs that big. maybe you could use some ball bearings. or u could like find some way to make your own cause ive only seen bbs come in one size. too bad :?:

well its going to be a home made barrell sealing valve. i have a couple of pipes laying around and because i dont want to be spending to much money i want to make sure i dont screw up and have to buy new stuff.

solder i would say is not suited for the job. what u need to do is to braze it . that is much stronger. the difference is that solder melts under 800 degrees and the stuff u use for braze melts above 800 degrees. i believe u can just use a steel hanger for that. although i dont think u can melt stee...

abs isnt pressure tested so u wont get schedule 40 or 80 but abs is great for combustion cannons since they dont explode the just tear. pvc on the other hand can explode into shrapnel :shock:
