Yeah Im thinkin its a factory reject but what does it matter now? Its doing what I want it to.

Also one thing that Ive noticed my 68ci 4500 tank doesnt hold as much as I thought it would so just beware when spending that much.

Nope its a "dead on paintball" regulator I got it for $35 including shipping on ebay. And the stupid thing about it is theres only one screw and it doesnt adust the pressure, but I still get 90-120 psi out of it.

True but with a big chamber they wont empty as fast at 800 psi comming in. By the way I also believe that palmers are a little over priced so I made my own co2 regulator. <a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m111/sergeantspud/regulator.jpg" b...

If you know the basics of a pnumatic then yeah, but with these questions I think you need to start with a less complex cannon just the sharpen you skills. - As for the threads on the...

But what happens if you sneeze (or other accident) and the ball valve is left open past the rated pressure... you lose a limb.

So basically a regulator is your fail safe.

But the regulator on those tanks dont let you adjust what the output pressure is. Most HPA tanks output at room temp co2 at 800psi but you can find some tanks that will regulate to around 300-400psi. So you will still need a secondary regulator but the problem with the brittle pvc will be solved.

I bought a 5 gallon tank for $20 at Sears and built a little backpack for it. It looks like a jet pack  But hey I carry it around and have portable air wherever in my garage (for spudguns of course) or around the house.

But if you use a 12 gram adapter, the on-off wont do anything. There is no pin to push on the 12 gram adapter like on a constant co2 tank, once you place the 12 gram inside the adapter and then screw the shroud on it punctures the 12 gram. You cant stop the flow coming out untill the tank is empty. ...
