SOS in air is: 340 m/s 1125 FPS What valve are you going to use? Baracudas at SOS is going to be very hard. I doubt the Condor could get those kinds of speed. I had 200 of them and fired them out of my QEV rifle. They were going fast but not that fast. Ah well, should be a fun challange :) Hammer v...

Oh right now the fill valve kind of went poof.

Previously my valve broke in half as did my sidelever, allthough both are fixed now. :P

It propels barracuda's a lot faster now at any rate.

At any rate making a new fill valve comes first and then, well yeah I'll post some pics for you guys.

Barely breaking the speed of sound huh, I wonder what the expansion rate of air is.. I was planning on using a solenoid powered hammer valve (daystate cfd imitation yay) at 200 bar, and 330 bar once i get my good scuba tank.. with a barrel length of 1.2 meters, bullpupped so I get something that is ...

Supersonic BB's using compressed air?

I was wondering;

How fast could one theoretically fire a bb using just compressed air?

(No helium or whatever just pure unadulterated 200 bar breathing air)

Thanks in advance!

Arien.

I have been in a mental clinic before, diagnosed with scitzophrenia No wonder you were contemplating a 150 bar BBMG :D Well it was 300 bars before I compromised on shots per fill. ;) At any rate, schitzofrenia is now a thing of the past. So now they all too well want to diagnose me with some other ...

Mrrr at any rate I have been in a mental clinic before, diagnosed with scitzophrenia, based on a few minor things, and one major things, I kept hallucinating.. But that could also be explained by something as simple as not having slept in a day or 5 when I arrived, when they started me on the antips...

240 bars. Around 3500 psi.

allthough a bloody scuba bottle is much handier if I say so myself...

Not quite the same pump (I think it was using a gehmann or FX pump but yeah..)

'tis quite a workout too..

Well using a piston valve would be rather backwards, you see You could make a piston valve that returns to closed position wich kind of makes the ball valve obsolete...

I meant the ball valves, and I intend to hook up a rather strong solenoid to the valve instead of gearing it. :)

Quite actually, that would be killer if hooked up to a solenoid.(only I'd still use it just after the hpa botlle)

How much pressure will those things take? I think like 80 ish bars?

Well, pressure washer should be possible, I want a somewhat lighter trigger though, And something that indeed looks more like a trigger instead of a ... well.. complete handle, and with regged I meant.. regged to 150 bars.. Anyway, I'll look into the pressure washer thing as you can probably take th...

High pressure vortex..

Hey, another project I want to start in the near future, a high pressure vortex smg.. (high pressure means around 150 bars...) Regged and all of that... However. I am thinking about how to make the magazine and.. the valve.. obviously the hammer valves I am used to working with won't work.. So any i...
