Well, I went with 80 PSI - and it worked just fine. I had just assumed MAPP was a bit more intense - that's why I changed over. It's good to know ole' propane works just as well. Thanks for the help. Here's a link to my finished cannon, in case you didn't see it. http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/late...

Very nice looking hand held. The small apple graphic in the paint job is a nice touch. I'll have to remember to do that. Have you been able to test it's range yet? Thanks. I don't have enough open space to really measure it - but it flung an 8 oz water bottle straight up in the air for 10.5 sec of ...

Do you have to have apples that fit the barrel, or can you use over-sized ones and just shove them in? Around here, you can buy "snack apples" that are almost perfectly round, and fit quite tightly in the barrel without any cutting. I have a small slice of 2.5" PVC that I bring to the store for gau...

Looks a little heavy but otherwise nice looking and well put together. The only thing I would seriously replace is the drain plug rear end...that thing's going to blow out on you sooner or later. Until then, be sure everything is clear directly behind this cannon when firing it. Yes - it's very hea...

Latest Apple Cannon

For the past 4-5 years, I've built some sort of potato/tennis ball/etc. launcher just as a goof. This year I decided to convert it to MAPP gas and make it handheld. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_GQdyUFyhQC8/S_MhEOAasKI/AAAAAAAAAXY/f0y86jCimeI/s912/IMG_3231.JPG The finished product. http://lh6.ggpht.com/_GQd...

Propane operates at 4.2% and MAPP operates at 4.6%. Since you already have a meter, I can assume that you already know the math to do the rest, right? Thanks. Maybe! 3200cc x .046 = 147 = ??? psi? I got a D in Physics and switched to Communications. I need help. :? The thought was to get a little m...

Meter pipe pressure - Propane vs MAPP

I'm switching to MAPP fro Propane. Typically, I run about 75 PSI through my 3/8" 6" meter pipe with propane. Any pointers on what PSI I might run MAPP gas?

Thanks. Sorry if this has been asked before - I didn't see much in the search.

That would be the way to go. It doesn't look like Ewing sells direct online and I'd have to drive about 10 hours to the nearest outlet. Anyone have an extra they want to unload?

2.5" PVC to 2" threaded male adapter - more elegan

Hey everyone - just transferred over from Spudtech. Sad to see they're more or less closing down. I just found a length of 2.5" PVC - no small feat in this town. I need to attach it to a 2" threaded male adapter. I've seen pics of a coupler glued onto the end and the 2" male threaded adapter glued i...
