Definitely feaseable in my opinion it's have to be a good size dia check valve for venting, and then a couple more maybe 1/4 electric solenoid valves for fueling. maybe used a 555 microcontroller to control timing for fueling firing and venting so that for each pull of the "trigger" it fires vents t...

I think it would slide fairly well with it's cured consistency but i agree way too brittle, unless of course you added something else to the mix (ie kaolin or portland cement) and then bake the damn thing in an oven. heck try some different things and let us know how it works. I'd be interested to s...

I did a radio interview with a gentleman named Nino Amarena who is the president and CEO of Thunderbolt Aerosystems and he described the system they use somewhat in depth on my show. Follow the Gribnation link in my signature to the Thunderman part 1 episode on the show archive page to listen to him...

my best advice would be to drill and bolt your plate to the bottom of the boat with a piece of inner tube rubber in between the plate and the hull. that way you wont have to worry about welding thin aluminum. i had a hole in the rear keel of my coleman plastic scanoe that had to be fixed in this man...

I haven't built a full scale rocket yet, and full scale mean big enough for the thrust to be useful in propelling an object of some size whether it be a rocket or a car. So far we have used 1" dia plumbing pipe using parafin wax with a 1/4" hole down the middle with a little bit of gun powder mixed ...

I've got a 10lb tank which I purchased for my keg system and it cost me $11.00 to get it filled at OxArc and it lasts me quite a while, unless I'm using it to fill my pnuematics then it'll last me like a month.

Sometimes it is best to go through proper channels, that way when you prove it works they will be impressed by the fact that you were able to do it safely and prove them wrong rather than being pissed and dwelling on the fact that you went against their wishes. A couple buddies of mine and I have be...

Ok so you're asking how to lighten the thing as a whole correct? Well, what are you making your pressure vessel out of?? I thought I saw you said concrete up above. why not just use a high pressure cylinder for your vessel. remove the stock valve and put a ball valve or something into it. heck i don...

You'll find a good number of people prepared to tell you spudguns are "f ing stupid". Spudguns may be stupid to some people, but there is a certain amount of pride that comes with hitting a par 5 on the green in one shot from your GB cannon ;) I just got home from a day at the links with my GB Comb...
