Dude, Flour? WTF? Get a small propane torch, give the inside of the chamber a couple seconds from that and its all good. The torch pre-mixes the correct amount of fuel into the air (the holes at the base of the torch, thats the air intake). I made a pill-bottle (albeit a monster pill bottle lol) pai...

Look on the side of the body, it should have a thin line running from the top down, that line is the ground wire (it's meant to contact the sheet metal of the BBQ it is mounted on) you can wrap a wire around that part as your second electrode. The best thing to do is try to pick up an igniter intend...

You gotta make em so they are permanently attached, if it can in any way be adapted to work on a real firearm, you are in deep shit if you get caught.

I made an Aluminum vortex block with a .5" vortex, along with TriFlow porting (probably something you guys havent seen, makes for a hell of an ROF), it fired quite well once I got the skirt depth right, which was a big bitch BTW. And on the Bondo thing, I've found max number of rounds you can sling ...

OK dude, its either one way or the other, unless you are willing to draw a pic or something to explain in more detail. I've seen and tested my share of automatics, so its probably nothing new, and its not like somebody is gonna steal your design or anything (I'm kinda doubting you are gonna throw ou...

Correct, you need voltage in the area of around 300-400 with a couple amps (though you dont measure a capacitor in amps), the pulse needs to be short and strong. The smaller the coil/ammo, the more you lose power and efficiency. I did make a coil gun one time where the coil's OD was .25", it shot ve...

Heh coil guns rock, I used to make tiny ones that fit in your palm, screwed with so many teachers when I was in school. They'd be sitting at their desk, when a 1/4" bearing would smack the wall behind them. Never found it was me, no sound, no movement heh, good times.

Ahh, its an easy fix, long as you are using a thin barrel (are you?). Near the breach, like a few inches from the vortex, you take a very small triangular file (a larger file will work, tilt it at 45 degrees), and file out a very fine notch at the top of the barrel, so that only a little tiny openin...

Nice gun man, great job. If it possible though, switch out the barrel for a smoothbore, all the rifling is doing is allowing air to pass by it, it decreases performance a bit (good choice on the barrel, the pellet gun barrels have always been my first choice). And just so people know, the original s...

Yah, I chronied it (though I do think I busted out a few 4x, that would make a big difference), I think the highest I had was around 780 fps lol. The barrel was 5.5' of 2.5", so it had a good C:B ratio (works out to a little under a .2:1, extremely efficient) So 3000 ft-lbs doesnt seem too far off t...

'Effin nice man, great job. I love the little ones, so much whallop in such a little package. I might have to go dump a few bucks into making one soon, its been so long... I'm curious, how much flow restriction do you think there is? If you were able to decrease the restriction by maybe refining the...

Noname~ Not sure what you are talking about with Alum, its a rather easily machined material, if you know the correct tooling and machinery to use. Granted, plastics are easily machined, but Aluminum can me machined to extreme precision, as long as you take in thermal expansion. I built some of the ...

Yah, big diff. Brown Sugar tends to have a lot more moisture in it than pure white sugar, so its out for pyrotechnics. White sugar (not powdered sugar) is best.

KNO3 can also be purchased in pure grade on ebay for cheap. I used to buy 5lb bags all the time, its like $20 a bag plus shipping. And whoever wanted the quick flash of smoke... 6 parts KNO3 3 parts magnesium powder (you can get it from pyrotechnic websites) 1 part sugar Makes a hell of a big flash ...

I think it also depends on the size of the vortex hole, I noticed that smaller holes tended to jam less than larger holes did without a shroud. With the smaller vortex holes you can get by without the shroud, but holes over 7/8" seem to jam without one. The width of the block may also affect jamming?
