Come on! PETN! Get an assload of 2-liter bottles and cut an assload of 2.25" discs (for 2" union), you couldnt ask for a better burst disc. They have smooth surfaces so they seal well, and they dont actually burst, they slip out of the union when the fuel ignites, which means you are getting the mos...

Jolly roger~ PCGUY didnt make it, I did, he just posted it for me. The fuel is metered in with the torch, which mixes air with the fuel as it is blown through a venturi (kinda like a larger propane torch, try covering all the holes at the base and see what happens). You can even use a propane torch ...

You wont ever know! MUHAHAHA!!! Really PC posted this so the guys not a member so you wont get a answer. Unless this guy is also a moderator on Spudtech :P Dan, The piston was molded from marine epoxy, with a thick neoprene gasket bolted onto the tip. It did eventually break, so I went wi...

Sorry for opening this old tread, but I have a question though. The barrel, I see that you have a metalic inner barrel? I can see treads at the thick part of it in the first pic. Do you use the metalic (I mean, the part with the metalic colour) piece as barrel, or as a ramming rod ? What's is the c...

Not true. The blowgun opens much faster than a ball valve, and has half-decent air flow (not to mention its easier to shoot with the blowgun). The magnets are Neodymium super magnets, got them from a computer hard drive (you'll have to break them apart to get smaller peices). No, I didnt machine any...

Break line is cheaper, but the ID finish blows, and its flimsy as hell. The next best (more accurate) thing would be the aluminum tubing from mcmaster, but make sure its the rigid tubing, not the annealed type (annealed is softer then shit, deforms and bends with the slightest pressure). I do still ...

My hybrids did the same thing with spuds, just spit out mist, not a single chunk of potato to speak of heh. The vaporization is not caused by the burst disc, its the pressure wave that does it (trust me, this issue has been beat to death on spudtech some time back). It does it when using aluminum fo...

just add nitrous oxide,a oxidizer, and up the speeds even further I'm not positive how long you have been on these forums, but adding a seperate oxidizing agent apart from normal atmospheric Oxygen is a big no-no in the spudding world, unless you have a steel chamber of sufficient strength to handle...

Steel? certainly, in small sizes (such as a battery) but the C:B ratio would be rediculous, the barrel would more than likely be made of a couple 20' sections of pipe, and thats coming out of a hyrbid with a chamber volume of at least 100 CI... ~EDIT~ Heh, looks like you squeezed in just before I po...
