3 1/2" FITTINGS?

Is there such a thing as 3 1/2" aluminum pipe fittings? If so where??

he is making a combustion, nothing too fancy, alli is not going to explode at 100psi and not at 150, besides if he made it from alli foil or something, If pvc will hold it so will alumium! Read his first post, he sais he includes a compressed air inlet. Is he using that for ventillation? I hope so....

Using aluminum, even 6063-T6 and assuming its super strong is dangerous. Just because the tensile strength of the material is high, doesn't mean squat if the design has high stress points, such as holes drilled in the chamber, etc. These things must be taken into account as they will cut the yield s...

General questions

I just have a few general questions about hybrids. How common are handheld hybrids and if hand held are they usually much smaller than a typical combustion or pneumatic? I don't see many videos of people shooting hybrids like I do other spudguns, and if they do shoot them, they are usually mounted t...

Hybrid fueling question

I am designing a new hybrid and I want to keep it really clean and as light as possible, so I will be using separate meter pipes and won't have a propane tank mounted on the gun. So, my question is...is a single shrader valve all I need in addition to the chamber gage? I figure I could connect a shr...

Recoil Calculator

I am designing a hybrid and needed to know recoil calculations and I found this. Many of you may already have something, I really don't know. But I wanted to share this. Its meant for shotguns, however, it can be used to give an idea of how your gun will kick. Leaving the powder grains at zero and e...

Double the pressure halve the distance of the spark gap. ...and so on. When you get to the pressures where you really can't be bothered trying to measure a spark gap in fractions of a millimetre you can go from high voltage low current arcs to low voltage high current glow wires. Awesome. Thanks fo...

OK thanks. I might get a more powerful stungun and also shorten the spark gaps. I will be using 3 gaps, I think this ought to work.

Compressed air spark gaps

In a 3xi chamber, would the spark gaps have to be closer than at atmosphere? Is there additional resistance due to the thicker air? Can it be figured out without trial and error?

Just got my T-6 camlocks. These things are really impressive. Its so great to be able to buy something so well designed and already made thats such a great fit for the cannon. Starman if you see this, could you please explain how you made use of the camlocks for your breach loading? I saw a picture ...

What kind of recoil could I expect?? Recoil is going to be dependent on the mass and velocity of your ammo...a burst disk only/no ammo, practically no recoil, a 16 oz can of veggies and you won't be able to hold it. Whoa. Yeah I guess there could be like 1,000lbs or so behind that can of veggies. S...

I was concerned also becuase aluminum camlocks are only rated to 250. They are the weak link and i'll have to work around them. 250 psi is a working rating...actual failure will be much higher. However, I wouldn't recommend building anything more than a 3x hybrid using camlocks. Also, using HGDT, f...
