The cannon and frame weigh approx 275 lbs and I weigh 220 lbs. I assure you.....it was a most unpleasant experience. The recoil was substantially less than manageable ! (IMO) If I had to guess, the actual recoil was managable, but the mass of the overall cannon/carrier is what made it rough... actu...

A couple have done it, I'm sure someone will be by shortly with links...Or you can check the wikipage and look under cannon designs or such... The point of doing a piston hybrid is to raise the launch pressure(the psi that hits the projectile) without having to use burst discs, so you'll want your s...

Are you gonna be able to dial that up??? Really you should shoot for the spring holds whatever your LAUNCH pressure is intended for, otherwise it will be surely underpowered... Is that a schedule 80 tee?

Look elsewhere for power on that bike!!! How much power are you wanting??? And what kind of riding are you doing??? Turbos on dirtbike and quads aren't worth it unless you already have a built motor and are dragracing... Throw in some cams, and a 14.25:1 piston, and maybe stick a flatside on it, fmf...

how can you know that the thing that lowered performance on QEV + blowgun combo was the QEV not the blowgun (the piloting valve of the piloting valve lol)? Trigger pull to firing time suffers due to the piloting of the pilotvalve if a blowgun is used... but mainvalve speed suffers if you use too sm...

I would lay down in the middle of the rd before I would build a bvmainvalved cannon... but the point I've been trying to make is, comparing the valves that your finger/hand/bigtoe/etc on , a .5"BV will vent the initial pilot pressure faster than a blowgun hands down, and prolly even a .25"bv will ou...

composite casting route but would trade that for machining facilities any day. I think I'm gonna faint... JSR give up the wonderful world of EPOXY??? Say it ain't so... I guess Glade needs to come out with an Epoxy Resin scented air freshener now, I'm sure the EPOXYCAVE wouldn't be the same without...

are we talking about the time between the pull of the trigger and the moment the main valve fires or about opening time and performance ?? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS, for the win!!! I never use tubing or hose uhmm yeah but 4X2mm tubing has an ID of 2mm.. so 32cm of 4X2 incre...

Ahhh, you thought i was using a bv as the main valve... On this gun I use a 3/4qev as the main valve and the 1/2bv instead of a combo of 1/4qev/blowgun for the pilot... I was comparing what would pilot the main valve fastest, and IMHO the 1/2bv will actuate the main valve faster than a blowgun would...

if you measure the exact volume of that setup by filling it with water I am sure you'll be surprised how large it is...( I'm actually well aware of it) I was thinking about directly attaching the piloting QEV on the main QEV and then using push-to-connect fittings and 4X2mm tubing to connect it to ...

filled via a tee... A .25" qev at full open will only flow about 45% of a .25" full port bv, and on that you have to add the time it takes to squeeze the blowgun trigger. With the .5" bv by the time you move the lever the same distance as the throw on the blowgun lever the .5" bv is already flowing ...

Looks very cool for its simplicity but I think you could cut down on pilot volume if you wanted to squeeze more power out. I am going to modify slightly to reduce wasted pilot volume by switching to a male run tee off the qev, and a male fitted bv... will reduce the pilot volume about an inch^3 Nee...
