I've had nearly the same design like this in my head for quite some time Something like 2 years? :D No, not thaaaaat long :) but at the time when you introduced your balanced push button valve. The beauty of the concept is that you can do so much things with it, like pilot, 3-way, hammer valves and...

Nice :D I've had nearly the same design like this in my head for quite some time but never bothered to actually build it due to the lag of 'proper' tools. :? The only difference in my design would have been that the part on the left is actually balanced and that there would be a surface differential...

If I understand this challenge correctly the guns don't have to be machined at all...?! The main criteria is to build a gun/launcher that looks as clean as possible without any trace of gethoness.

Or did I misunderstand the rules?

My suggestion is, turn the piston around, put the rubber washer into the piston and drill a hole near the outer edge. This way you have a very light, fast acting cup piston with build in check valve.

Like it is now I would say forget about it.

What do you try to achieve with this design?

To me it looks like it won't work at all. 1. When piloted, the soup can might move but the seal will stay in place because the spring is not strong enough to unseat it. 2. In the unlikely event that the sealing face unseats, the barrel will be covered by the soup can, resulting in massive flow restr...

I don't know if you get Sennheiser in America but if you see them you should definitely check them out.

Instead of a hose barb you could use solder fittings, these threaded brass fittings you solder copper pipes into. Vaseline or baby oil works fine, an alternative is talcum powder.

Here you go. I set the video to not listed because in my opinion it is not appropriate for some people on YouTube.

Reenforcing water bottles with fibreglass and epoxy is actually not that new. The current world record holder in water bottle launching use up to 1300 psi in their creations.
