All right children, and adults too, I finished my cannon that i STILL claim can hit 1/2 mile ranges.

You will just have to wait for the post, as i hope to get some damage videos and photos this weekend.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned a bolt piston.

Buy a 1/4'' bolt, slip some 2'' washers on it, find some rubber, and a few nuts and your in business.

Ive, done it. It works better than no piston at all.

I can attach a 1'' barrel, to shoot bouncy balls. Or a 1/2'' in one for steel/lead balls.
Obviously, the 1/2'' one gets better ranges, so far those ranges have been right around (slightly higher than) 1/2 mile.

http://img75.imageshack.us/img75/1975/oldcopy.jpg There is the rifle, With its 1/2'' barrel, and an old valve. new one is being worked on. The half inch barrel is the one ive been talking about reaching the 1/2 mile range. I repeatedly stated that it shoots bouncy balls, and the it gets 1/2 mile ra...

Re: Screw in schrader valve

My home depot does. Right with all the air tools. I get them at ACE though. s they are cheaper.

Both ace and homedepot have 1/8 and 1/4 in my town

Looks very very good.

My only suggestion, all Pneumatic PVC guns NEED pressure gauge. for safety. I've show my cannon a few times just to have 10-15 psi of "left over" pressure.... stick a new piece of ammo in.... and accidentally fire...

So, over all Great looking gun. You juts need a gauge!

and the path of a ball can easily be seen in the dark, as the balls glow at night.
Did you bother reading it?

HAHAHAHA. dudes. really. Lemme re, build the rifle this weekend, and THEN i will post the ranges. which i expect to be over 1/2 mile. As for the inconsistency, This gun,(The pistol) shoots bouncy balls. (1") The rifle shoots steel slugs (.50'') but also has a 1" barrel which will shoot a bouncy ball...

I am currently building a new type of valve for it. (my own NEW design.) and i will let you know when its done. TEASER: the new valve is housed i...

That looks really good. im a fan of 1/2'' pvc barrels on air guns, as they can shoot nerf darts fast enough to make your head spin.

The gun is 17.5'' long without a barrel. in regards to my 50. cal you caught me! the 50. cal rifle does not shoot bouncy balls. It shoots steel bullets. I have no idea why i said bouncy balls. The metal bullet hit the face of the floppy drive, square in the center and went straight through. The bull...

actually a half mile is 2640ft one mile is 5280ft the easiest way to avoid any problems with converting units is to switch to metric system  half a mile with this gun ?? no way The half mile rage is with my rifle. which is a .50 cal, and does not shoot bouncy balls, but lead rounds, or steel ...

Interesting... You don't see many pistols twice as long as a forearm ... could be easily mistaken for two firearms.... On paper that is.... For a 1'' PVC air cannon, this thing is tiny. the gun is about 1 foot long. The barrel is not necessary, as the ball valve breech acts as a short barrel...
