My only planned spudding project for this summer is an airsoft mine, although it is nearly finished already.

My other summer project is a racing lawn mower. I started it last year but after I finished it I decided that it needed to be faster, so I'm hoping to finish it this summer.

I had that same compressor, and I must say it was quite loud, even for an oil free compressor. :D

It is kind of slow and does have a small tank, but it will work for short bursts from a bbmg.

Okay, to clear up some of the confusion, the plane was a piece of junk from the start and is probably quite a bit different from what you guys are thinking. The plane was one of those remote controlled planes that had one button on the remote, and all the plane would do is fly in circles, gaining a ...

I don't really know how either of those suggestions would work for my purposes. Maybe I should have been a little more clear about what I am trying to do. The only purpose of the r/c plane electronics is to give me the parts I need to make the remote wireless. This thing will not be leaving the grou...

Questions about electronic triggering of a sprinkler valve

I came up with an idea for a remote triggered airsoft weapon, but I have a question about the electronics. I want to use the electronics from an old r/c plane to trigger a sprinkler valve since that is what I have available without spending money. I don't know very much about electronics, but I'm pr...

These are the two decent airsoft guns I have, all the rest are crappy springers and aren't even worth posting. :lol: The rifle is an AGM mp001. It was a fairly cheap gun but it performs very well. The manufacturer claims 380 fps, but I've chrono'd it at well over 400. The big ugly thing on the scope...

Slow motion, I know Movie Maker supports that but if you want it slower you need to "frame hop" and save a .jpg of each individual frame and then add each .jpg in order on Movie Maker and put the duratio at like 1 second for each frame and it will come out as slow motion. VLC player will let you "f...

Yes, putting an expansion chamber between your launcher and the regulator should help solve your problem, but I'm no expert when it comes to using CO2.

Very nice! I really like the bicycle brake trigger, I never thought of using one of those on a launcher. I'll bet it works like a charm 8)

Wow I have to say that this is an awesome creation! I love the way that the stock and the valve assembly blend together smoothly. I think that using the tee connector as a muzzle brake might be the cause of that cool noise that the launcher makes. This launcher that I made has a similar muzzle brake...

I'm not sure if it's the size you're looking for, but these valves are the ones I use. The 3/4" ones are about 2.25" tall and 3.5" long.

If you are using a 2" PVC barrel, you will probably be able to use 2.5" electrical conduit as a sleeve with minimal effort. Even though 2.5" PVC pipe is hard to find, 2.5" electrical conduit is fairly common at hardware stores in the US.

I did something similar a few months ago. My golf ball cannon uses a 1/4" QEV to pilot two 3/4" QEVs that both vent to the barrel. It didn't make a noticeable difference in performance so I wound up just replacing the pilot QEV with a ball valve so that I could use the QEV for something else.

@BTB
I think the difference you tried to make by driving a moped was canceled out by my truck in the snow. With the bed full of snow for extra weight, I've been getting 11-13 miles per gallon. With a six cylinder. :?
