If you want to go the welding route, here's a good site to check out: http://plasticweldingandtools.com/ But I still say to use silicone to repair it. Gipetto's method seemed to be the best I've read so far. Fish tank silicone would work, I will not deny it, but I still suggest window weld above tha...

CO2 is a cheap substitute. A few chunks of dry ice chucked into the pipe will displace the air as it sublimates during brazing. Do not heat the portion of the pipe with the dry ice. You want some left wen you are done brazing to protect it until it cools. This works for mig welding, though. I know ...

i actually really like the look of this rifle, are you going to do any more modifications in the near future? As I said earlier, It's a project that will probably continue to be fine tuned. I am considering a bigger chamber to bump the power up a little since I swapped in a longer barrel. I have so...

I love shooting AA batteries, I use a plastic coffee can to collect all the spent disposable batteries in the house. I shot a few recently, I photographed a carcass here: http://i730.photobucket.com/albums/ww303/rave669/DSCF0561.jpg Incidentally, this was a heavy duty cell. Alkaline batteries are he...

Actually, it was going through easily enough, part of the problem was that the lunchbox had the hinged side towards the back for most of the shots, The first shot almost ripped the hinged side off entirely. Another factor was my backstop, as the lunchbox was usually placed directly against it, so I ...

You may not be able to bend it, but if your blowgun is brass, here is what you can do: Use a grinder, files, whatever, to remove the chrome plating where you want the bend. Using a cutoff wheel, or a saw, make a pie cut, or a relief cut where you want the bend, and bend the blowgun so your cuts are ...

At 200 psi, I get 3 full power shots, after which the pressure drops to around 180 PSI, then around 160, etc. I would usually take a moment to put about 30-50 pumps in the cylinder to bring the pressure back up. Doesn't sound like much, but it's good enough to check groupings at max power, so it wor...

I see, I thought the schrader was for when you wanted to up the pressure a bit. I think the regulator may work with a needle valve and a pop off for safety, but for some people that may be pushing their safety limits. understandable. I did build Thunderbess in such a way that if I wanted to run co2...

I use CO2 bottles for paintball guns as air tanks, they're good for about 800 PSI or so, all the fittings can be bought from paintball supply stores. Rust isn't an issue because they are aluminum, but you should pressurize them a little, point the valve towards the ground and depress the valve stem ...

It doesn't run off CO2, it runs off compressed air. The CO2 cylinder is my airtank; I use a stirrup pump to fill the launcher to 200-250 psi, which the bottle can handle with ease. I had some paintball parts which fit the bill for my build already, so it was a no-brainer. I could easily adapt it to ...

How well maintained is your compressor? I have an old Sanborn compressor in my garage, used to be my brother's; It's been well maintained, and still runs like a champ; it delivers about 120 PSI consistently. mostly because my bro works in auto body, and takes good care of his equipment. I in turn do...

Look at my project, may give you some ideas: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/thunderbess-edit-major-update-t20806.html If you charge the gun prior to each shot from a reserve tank, like I do, you can't make a true semi auto. you can, however, make a repeater. Semi-auto means each trigger pull, it sh...
