These are neat little blowdarts for a 1" barrell... Take a 4" long 1/4" steel rod, chuck into a drill and sharpen on a grinder or belt sander, then take 2.5" of 3/16" rubber vacuum hose and slice 2.25" of "feathers" into it,then you slide the tube onto the steel dart(it's a tight fit) until you've g...

Damn f*!? &&*ç%"*° ah now its out of my system...Can one of you help me build a check valve then? they are check valves, however they are made for highly viscous fluids such as grease or oil... they make similar fittings for gases.. they're alittle pricier due to the extra precision needed to seal ...

J_B... You're confusing stupidity with levity... And it was relevant levity as well... Sometimes the path to getting people to think is through a parabelic arc instead of a straight line... and yes I misspelled that intentionally...

one other note is that a tiny 1500psi leak could quite possibly sever a finger or inject air subcutaneously causing quite an uncomfortable little wound...

Which brings me back to a hybrid. If it's supersonic you want or anything over that, you'll need to be considering a hybrid design or else use light gases. Also, the mass of your projectile will calculate heavily into whether supersonic is possible or not. What is your planned source for 1200 psi N...

and yes, I'm going on ggdt numbers(i guess i should've specified) In that case, you need to be wary about supersonic results. I've had results back that exceed the ultimate limits of a gas. What about helium, could I expect better with that??? Definitely - where Nitrogen's speed of sound is about 1...

I'll be running nO2 the muzzle velocity with a saboted golf ball will be just over mach 1, and 1200psi at about 1700fps.... Sorry, you'll not be going supersonic with Nitrous oxide (and why you even want to use Nitrous Oxide is a mystery) - it's too dense a gas to do that. Assuming a mistake, and y...

To answer a few quesions: I'll be running nO2, the barrel and chamber are rated WAY higher than 1600psi, the chamber is going to be rated at 8000 working psi(it's only going to be 12"x4") . This one will be mounted to a steel carriage. It will be actuated by a mechanical piston valve, that will be a...

Whohas the most powerful 2" pneumatic gun on here???

My brother picked up my 6 ft of 2" DOM sch40 steel barrel today, and my neighbor(the pipe welder) is going to build the chamber this weekend... This one should be safe to, oh, say 1600 psi.... Have I mentioned I'm OCD, And spudding is addictive in of itself, so please excuse my bazillion p...
