ahahaha Jeepkahn that was great! DYI's situation is beyond unfortunate, but what's done is done and he will come through it alright I'm sure and life will go on. We can argue the specifics, but it was no bodies fault really, just an unfortunate sequence of events. Granted they could have been preven...

Wow DYI, that is a hell of a sh*t storm. I am completely on board with you about cops, I spent my college freshmen year battling on and off with them over stupid stuff (Not spudgun related, but misdemeanors and felonies none the less), so I am acquainted with their wonderful bone headiness. All I ca...

I bought one of the Kobalt regulators when it first came out and I have never had a problem. Works great and makes life very easy. The reviews I found interesting though. The O-ring problem is probably user caused as I've rotated many a tank through my regulator with out problem but did notice that ...

Wow! Very good work sir. I love the wood grain addition to your rocket launcher. It doesn't appear to be a coaxial, and the handle appears to be pressure rated pipe, so is it safe to guess that the top handle is how you connected the piston to the pressure chamber? If not how exactly does it work th...

Thanks for the replies guys, sorry I've been slow to reply, I've been real busy with homework. I actually never saw your thread before I made my rounds JSR but clearly great minds think alike. I also like Busenburner's idea as well. I noticed that when the lead cooled it tended to contract and becom...

I use a fridge compressor I picked up at college. I've been surprised at what a workhorse it is.
And the pilot mechanism is very similar to Clide's, I just used a slide check valve I found on ebay and rigged up a trigger to move the slider.

Found a pair on Ebay. Ratings were in the 300psi range but they handle 500psi just fine.

500psi Bolt Action Rifle

Hey there fellas! First I want to say sorry for being MIA this past year. College, girlfriend, and making money took up a lot more time then I expected, which is why I've been roaming the site but never posting. Despite being distracted, I've still built several cannons (including my 20x hybrid rifl...

Jeez, I man can't blow up shit in peace anymore, to bad. I'm in California on a liberal college campus and boy do they get touchy with shooting fireballs off the roof and building cannons in your dorm room. But the less people see the less they care, be smart and don't flaunt your shit and this terr...

Very impressive Spudfarm. That chamber of yours is probably one of the cleanest and well made chamber on a hybrid I have seen in a long time (I like it as much as Larda's). Gotta say you never disappoint, hell you brought me out of my non-posting and lurking slump on these forums. Great job on that ...

Tell you dad that spudding can get you into good schools. The only reason I'm at Stanford is because I wrote the majority of my college essays on the cannon building I did and what I had learned from it.

Anyways, Happy Birthday! hope you get to enjoy your mini crotch rocket. Be safe

I live in Santa Fe New Mexico. Texas, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado... I can work with almost any state in the southwest or central part of the country. I hope this comes together, I would love to get a chance to attend this thing. If I can come I would be down with bringing my generator and air compres...

In theory I could but I feel it could get to complicated if I tried to do that with timing and all.
The active recoil system sounds like a possible idea though. Hmm....

I did something similar to this this summer. I taught a camp of twenty six 11 to 15 year olds how to make piston valve cannons. Took a little over a week but was well worth it. It was really a great experience to teach kids how to use dremel tools, saws, and drill presses and show them that 15 bucks...

I found those about a year back and bought a pound. Never got a chance to use them but they are nasty looking little things, and very good quality. I'd say its a good buy, especially since they're pretty cheap. As a side note, I also bought a a large military backpack from there. Probably one of the...
