Some people have an easier time getting it in there, others dont. I guess it depends on the manufacturer of the pipe.

That forum thread has the chamber sealer as well. The only difference is it is shown as filling from the pilot side and it has a face seal vs. the o-ring seal againgst the chamber side. I do think you need more information for us to give you a better idea. A 1/2 inch tee is around 1.50 and a 2 inch tee will cost around 20 bucks. The price varies so much from size to size.
