Hang on, if you're younger than Jesse, and I'm around his age, then that makes you a bloody kid. Here's me thinking you're a few years older than that. My whole reality is collapsing. And a 30k lawnmower? You could buy a Kubota and slasher deck for that. Well I just turned 18, so the law here says ...

Shock tubes
Does anyone have any knowledge, or preferably experience with shock tubes or pulse detonation engines? I'm looking to build a PDE (for the foreseeable future, manually operated, i.e. only operating for one cycle at a time) operating on propane/air with a Shchelkin spiral. From what I've heard, your accuracy in still conditions doesn't improve, but in the wind the difference is surprising. I wouldn't mind them for hunting, might make a difference. From what I've seen there's no benefit in any conditions, they're just another style of vane. There are a group of hardco...

Oh, those are FOBS. They're like regular vanes, but with a circular bit around the outside for more area. People who use them claim you'll shoot nothing but robin hoods with them but in reality the same effect can be obtained with regular vanes. Not to mention they can only be used with drop away re...
