"Excalibur" QEV Cannon
This is my newest cannon, which I named the "Excalibur". It is built around a 3/4" QEV. The chamber is about 30" of 2" aluminum pipe, and the barrel is 3 feet of 1.5" PVC. I have 2" cam-lever couplings for breech loading, though I need to create some kind of cartridge, otherwise it is very hard to l...

Good to hear you enjoyed shooting. The first gun I ever shot was a .22LR, and now I own one, along with a 7mm-08 Rem 770 rifle. I am planning on getting a 12-gauge shotgun sometime this year. Nothing too exciting, my .22 QEV gun would own them any day with power. Yes, air pistols and rifles tend to ...

Welcome to Spudfiles! First off, a 3" barrel is probably too big for optimal performance shooting T-Shirts. A 1.5-2" barrel should be very sufficient. 150 yards? I wouldn't expect to get distance like that for a T-Shirt cannon, but anything's possible. If I may ask, why do you need to launch T-Shirt...

Medical Oxygen Regs
I am considering finishing my abandoned hybrid project, and I want to use a pure oxygen setup, similar to SB15's. I am guessing that this will be less cost effective, considering I will go through those $7 disposable oxy tanks pretty fast, but I want a portable oxygen system, and I don't want to mes...

The reason I didn't use DWV is not a cost issue. MY local store did not carry pressure rated pipe over 2". As for the aluminum barrel, I just had it laying around from another project that I could not complete due to cost, so I used it for the barrel. In response to Moonbogg, it's obviously not a hy...

How long is the 4" chamber? Depending on how big it is, 5s may be as fast as you can get. Is the air coming from a C02 tank or HPA tank? Personally, I agree with -_- about air tools using more air, but Palmer regs are pretty good, I wouldn't expect one of them to slow down your air supply any more t...

WIP Breech Loading Combustion
This is combustion cannon that I did a lot of work on earlier this year, but never got around to finishing. I will probably complete it once my birthday comes around, since I will be getting some extra money. The chamber is 3"dia x 30"length DWV, but it's layered in couplings, so I figure it should ...

@Technician - Thanks for correcting me. I didn't really consider the foghorn, as I haven't really worked with sprinkler valves much. :) I do believe modded valves do open slightly faster than un-modded ones though in addition to fixing the higher-pressure pilot problem, and are certainly more effici...

There is a performance difference. I am not sure how great it is, but in some cases it can be noticeable. The main difference between electric and pneumatic activation is that the pilot vent hole is much smaller with a standard electric sprinkler valve than it is with a blowgun, so the pilot can be ...
