If I can find one for free, then sure, but for now I'll have to stick with fridgy. Aren't they also heavier n stuff? The one I have is a vane type compressor it is pretty heavy compaired to a fridge compressor but not much bigger, has a much greater flow and max pressure is about 550-600 psi defini...

I knew if was something like a maze of intricate chambers inside a silencer, but somehow I thought there was also some filling stuff. Oh well, another thing to learn. I'll explore the forum. If you have at hand some good links about DIY silencers please share. Having filling inside of a silencer is...

The idea of silencing a weapon is to contain the expanding gases. Silencing a firearms is not like trying to soundproof a box or cavity where you are trying to absorb small pressure waves. In a firearm there is a large release of gas out of the barrel this needs to be contained and released slowly o...

http://www.anver.com/document/vacuum%20components/vacuum%20mufflers/flow-through_silencers.htm I very much doubt they would have much effect on an air powered weapon, mainly to due to their lack of volume. The design also seems to be a muffler style perforated pipe with wadding, not very effective ...

Excellent :D and just 12 bar! Are you going to keep the magazine vertical as it is or throw in an elbow and have it in line with the barrel? Yeah I am pretty happy with it but I want to run it at about 20bar, I can't take it Higher than that because the cover plate flexes and leaks. I'm going to re...

If you are using it in a pressure component then you would be best to stick with the High Strength epoxy. the 5min stuff dose not really give you a great deal of time to mix properly particularly if it is a warm day. It will probably do the job, but you would be much better of with the high strenght...

Looks like a great idea, will be good to see how much it affects the air usage. The biggest benefit would come when operating at high rate of fire due to the much greater flow of air available from the valve and able to flow out the popoff. If the trigger valve is only set to a low rate of fire then...

Well I finally got around to putting a test barrel and mag on the new QEV, and I am very happy with the results :D I added a spring to the mag and boy dose it improve ammo feeding. Now able to fire at 12-13 rounds per second with a muzzle velocity of between 480-520 fps and just over 10ft/lbs and th...

yeah, i understand. thanks for the warnings guys! so if the price was $35, would you buy it? Well most of the guys on the forum know how to make piston valves and can do it cheaper than buying one. The people that tend to buy pre fabricated valves are generaly people who do not have the know...

P.S, In the marketed version, I will buy a tee rated to 16bar, this one is only rated to 8bar. . If the fitting dose have a rating of 8Bar then then it is ok, just have to remember that is the pressure limit of the valve. The tee just looked like an unrated DWV ( drain, waste and vent) fitting, hen...
