They have riffled barrels for paintball guns too, the riffling would just make the spin consistant just as does the hop up although a hop up makes the tradjectory more of an arch so it could also make the marbles go in other directions if it wasn't set up properly. But riffling copper could be quite...

Yes well either you make the tip of the dart much wider ( I've tried that before and it worked quite well until I missed the target once and hit a stone wall...) or you have to make a soft target. I just strapped about 10 layers of card board the 30cm of polystirene then some tar coated bags with a ...

Well they are quite light so I don't think they would go through more than 3mm steel well not with a rifle style spudgun anyway... Edit: I just tried shooting an arrow at some steel, about 2mm thick and 10m away and the arrow went through but explodded... well the carbon tube just shattered... So th...

The arrows are very accurate and fly much faster than nails, they probably have less drag than the pompoms too, but you have to be careful what you shoot at (ex: solid wood) because they get stuck. And you can't really get them ou undamaged unless you cut the target up. 20$ doesn't seem much for car...

The best projectiles (for accuracy)I have made were carbon fibre darts (I bought a few cheap target practice arows from a sports shop cut up the carbon fibre rods and bought some arrow tips and fins) http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t31/al-xg/BBlauncher-1.jpg and a 14mm rifled bullet. Its made fro...

Hi every one, I made a very similar design just a little bigger really, 14mm OD and 6mmm ID barrel the whole thing is 14cm long. The pilot valve is the schrader (it was going to be a 16mm OD section of pipe blocking holes in the chamber behind the piston, like a slide valve... but i couldn't get it ...

I had a similar idea but gave up on the landmine design because I was jsut too scared of something breaking off and flying to hit the target like the little pin or nail....

Clamore type setup flour trap
I was thinking of making a flour trap... http://s156.photobucket.com/albums/t31/al-xg/?action=view¤t=61c3e9c4.flv here is how it would work. The valve would be actuated by a spring loaded trigger set of by a trip wire. My first idea was a land mine but its not as reliable or safe(what if the p...
