I think it's pronounced "NOOB." You probably should have researched first by the way. Nevertheless, here are some popular ones -Nail darts -Dowel -Batteries are supposed to work -I find chewing gum is alright -If it's schedule 40 PVC, I find that 1/4" carriage bolts pack a punch -Cast things:...

For a good sealing face, I found these washers at Home Depot with neoprene sealed to one end. When screwed onto a piston with a screw, they work magnificently, although they might need a slight bending in order to accomodate a non-linear lip and piston. If the piston isn't moving forward however, yo...

I'd recomend you build yourself a piston valve. They're strong, easy to open, and are the most bang for your buck.
I'd also recomend you research
Here's a great starting point:

Have you ever made a epoxy casting if you did you would know that taking a blowtorch to it ruins it don't use solder then a epoxy casting is present use epoxy. Well, I haven't used epoxy in it (I'm terrible with the stuff) so I used gorilla glue. But yeah, that probably won't stand up to a blowtorc...

Maybe you could try to make your own schrader valve. Gipetto's Easy Shockpump how to has a 3/4" version, and I've just made a 1/2" version of it using copper. You could open it mannualy just by pushing it open (if you can press it down hard enough) to pilot your gun. And since you seem to be able to...

I think this happened to me. What happened was that I activated pilot, and all the air rushed out the pilot (then a blowgun.) Then just as the last of the pressure was escaping; then the piston moved back and opened, only to let out a small gust of air. A larger pilot and a better piston remedied th...

Probably a stupid idea, but have you considered a combustion? If you hook up a regulator to a bottle, you could probably get a pretty fast rate of fire (not of course like a real paintball gun) without having to worry about CO2. Just an idea. :D Anyway, do you think you could build your own gun and ...

You didn't actually mention your budget did you? Yeah, I didn't. As awesome as the milling machines look, I'm only getting about $110 of birthday financial support (I of course can invest my own money, but don't seem to have much right now). Milling machines cost about $400 at their cheapest, so th...
