i agree, just go down to your local hardware shop and pick up a 1/4'' ball valve. you can mod it a little by take the little lips of so that it can freely rotate 360*. then put on end in a drill and have it spin at like 100 rpm for 15 mins. this will loosen it up a bit, but not soo much that it wil...

what kind of pressure do you need it for? normal ones from bunnings are good for 200ish psi more than that you should get a pressure washer handle [/url] I don't think I'll use it for more than 200PSI. I've only spent $25NZD on the chamber, piston assembly and barrel. I'd be lucky to get a air blow...

Wow, thanks that definitely cleared things up. There's only two other things I need to figure out. Where to find a chamber? And if an air blow gun has enough flow to exhaust a piston valve. Grade 316 stainless steel fittings?
I've designed my first pneumatic spud gun using 3/4" BSP 316ss.
Does anyone know the pros and cons of 316ss, and what type of pressure it could withstand. (I've done a google search but couldn't find the info.)
