Re: "In the world of spuds today"

That's a sweet looking musket, nicely done! 8) Is there a build thread here somewhere?

Re: Crosman 1400 Pumpmaster 0.22"

Nice find! :) The 1400 is an interesting and good looking piece with very decent power potential for a pumper. Looking at doing a new tube and poppet style valve for mine when I "get round to it". Some of them have nice grain on the stocks hiding under the factory finish... http://i245.photobucket.c...

Re: Pcp hammer valve, max allowable pressure

Large blocks of type are annoying as frig. Break out the paper and pencil..(or paint...or cad if you have it) and draw it to scale or reasonably close. Post that...clarity is everything. Can look into Barlows formula to help determine pressure ratings of tubing. There are thin and thick wall ...

Re: Sourcing large volume high(er) pressure pumps?

Tough bill...flow rate is very low for anything industrial that will make the pressure. Is high pressure air storage an option between shots? (Assuming this has something to do with Vera or a "sister".) These folks may be able to help...phone calls are cheap. http://www.aircompeq.com/highpsirot.html

Re: Sourcing large volume high(er) pressure pumps?

Can you better define "high volume"? Available options to power it? ie low pressure air, electric, IC engine. Requirements for a safety factor @ 300psi? Regulatory compliance?? Rough budgetary amount? Edit; This one's under a $100G.... :) https://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-Sullair-Air-Compressor-900-1150...

Re: Pvc pricing

If you have a Home Despot, you likely have one or more of the following that you could check as well;

Home hardware,
Canadian Tire
Rona
Lowes
Emco
Bartle and Gibson

Also check for local plumbers....they may have some bits and pieces that are long enough for what you need...price could be good.

Re: Plans for Pengun

A Pen gun is a firearm that resembles an ink pen. They generally are of small caliber (e.g., .22 LR, .25 ACP, .32 ACP, .38-caliber, etc.)and are single shot. Early examples of pen guns were pinfired, but modern designs are rim or centerfire. Some pen guns are not designed to fire regular cartridges...

Re: Short question topic

CO2 is around 850psi at room temperature...300psi shouldn't be a problem for the co2 canisters.

Pay attention to everything ELSE that handles the pressure though...make sure it's up to the task.

Re: preloaded pneumatic cartridge

Herr Reinhold Becker would back me up :D I still have my reservations about the design in terms of friction, the bigger the o-ring then the bigger the force needed to move it and it's proportional to the pressure. A paintball slide check for example at 850 psi is pretty stiff and I want to go well ...

Re: preloaded pneumatic cartridge

I swear...anything marked "Crosman" is laced with something...things are addictive. A great many folks take rough MK1's and fit longer/better barrels....the ubiquitous "LD" configuration....guilty of this myself. Cut down and fit a barrel from an HW100...still need to test it. Tensioned barrel...

Few questions and comments; The pipe is black...I've never seen black pvc in Canada....but I have seen plenty of black ABS pipe. Looks like ABS cement, but you're calling it pvc cement....the two are not necessarily interchangeable. Without making assumptions as to what pressures you're running at f...

Re: Pneumatic Pistol Throttle Valve?

This might come in handy for you...you know what the temperature is where you are, this will help you determine the pressure, and also help determine what is "properly" rated for the use. http://co2airguns.net/Collection/technical_data/Press_Temp_Data/vapor%20pressure%20diagram%20for%20CO2.jpg Did a...
