Ah! Well, I apologize for my pre-judging. So many times we have someone who knows nothing about potato guns sayin "lulz guyz i wanna buld a 10x highbred luncher. plans?" You clearly know what you're talking about. I just like seeing that kind of background and experience in the first post. We...

If you're good with stoichiometry and chemistry, you could find the moles of air/propane and calculate volume before combustion versus after combustion. We did this in my chem class 2 semesters ago, but I can't remember it.

I wish. I live in New York, so finding nut trees around here is pretty difficult (plenty of nuts here though, go figure). I managed to shoot peanuts out of a 3/4"CPVC barrel once. Always smelled like roasted peanut butter after a fresh shot. Mmmmm... *ransacks kitchen*

Tensile strength my dear friend, it's all in the tensile strength of a material. There was a calculator that would determine the tensile strength of a material based upon wall thickens, material type and the like. Can't remember where it was, but if I stumble across it, I'll link you. I'm assuming a...

Sorry guys, but my thought here is that if you have to ask how they work, then you're not prepared to build one. Not to rain on your parade Reactor, but you should research on your own as much as possible and only ask questions after all available research outlets are exhausted. Although, I would be...

No shit. Just out of curiousity, what is it classified as now? The fact of the matter remains that it is an extremely dangerous compound. You wouldn't go and launch barrels of ANFO out of a massive cannon, so why would you do it with TATP and a spudgun? Then again D_Hall, with your line of work I wo...

Even if there was fuel, it would melt the rocket. As far as I know, this video is good to go, and definitely not a bad tutorial.

As for ABS glue on PVC, its a bone of contention on launchers themselves, but on a projectile which probably only lasts one firing, it's not gonna be too big of an issue.

Good luck with getting fuel calculations for that thing right. You'd be better off making a Gen II hybrid. Plenty of searching will help you understand the topic. However, I do like the machined chamber. It's different. And good.

So after a very long absence...

I feel the need to build a new spudgun. I've gotten rid of quite a couple of my old ones, including the Patriot Resurrection. Dissappointing since it was a great gun. I need an idea for a new gun. NOthing too outlandish, since I need to devote time to school. But I am up for ideas. I'd appreciate it...

This is the first thing I see after not visiting spudfiles in a while, and I must say. SPudguns have come a long way in the half a year or so that i've been gone. Great gun, I absolutely love it!
