Re: Help for spark plug leakage problem
Do you think a self-made epoxy spark plug can work better? I would make something like that: Untitled.jpg Using this sort of fitting: Untitled.jpg Yellow is a plastic cup or similar insulator, glue to the fitting, stick your electrode through then pour marine epoxy. Thank you for your advice. It lo...

Re: Help for spark plug leakage problem
Does anyone know how the ignition device of larda keeps the insulation and seal between the electrode and the casing? His transmitter works many times at 200×, and I need to get more advice. Thank you all!

Help for spark plug leakage problem
I have ignited up to 150× through the spark plug, but under this pressure, the spark plug can't seem to keep its seal and start to leak. Is there any solution? Do you think it is a feasible scheme to make a self-made high-strength spark plug?

Can a stable chamber pressure be achieved by filling a fixed amount of fuel with a syringe? How much does your initial speed fluctuate? Because of my national policy, I can't get a barrel with rifling. Can a musket achieve long-range precision strike?

How do you install bursting discs?
At present, I use a cam lock with self-locking function. Although its rated pressure is 5mpa, I still mix it up to 70 times. It seems to work well, but I'm still afraid it will fail. Do you have any better suggestions?

Re: Questions about pressure and flow rate
theoretically, A and B should use the same amount of fuel, so their calorific values should be the same. They use the same amount of fuel, but B generates higher pressure and will therefore outperform A by a considerable margin, because projectile acceleration will be greater. Edit: here is a compa...

Re: Questions about pressure and flow rate
Assuming that there are two combustion chambers A and B, the volume of A is twice that of B, and the initial pressure of B is twice that of A, then theoretically, A and B should use the same amount of fuel, so their calorific values should be the same. Then the question comes, which one, A and B, c...

Re: Questions about pressure and flow rate
To put it another way: If your cannon does not inject additional fuel and air, but only compresses the mixture at normal atmospheric pressure, will its performance change?

Re: A brand-new ignition method
Looking good! I assume that in the interest of safety you've made sure that all the pipes and fittings are rated for the expected pressures after ignition ;) I note that while the paper you shared concluded that "When the volume of the initiation end is larger than that of the booster end, you can ...
