why is that out of reach? just machine a UHMHW piston and use a threaded rod as the stem. Slap a tee on there and you have a barrel output.

I don't see why you think its out of reach. a simple UHMHW piston can easily be turned on a drill press.

Unless I'm missing something?

sorry to kick this up, but how do you determine the dead space volume of your air pump?

400 psi is NOT a 28x mix.... A "general" rule is that 1x generates 100psi, 2x, 200, et cetera. So a 28x mix produces a couple thousand psi of gas pressure, and its a pressure SPIKE as well. Make sure your material can handle it.

Update... got the sealing problems worked out, have to rotate the port to a specific place since it's not perfectly centered.. but it seals now. Got the leaks all out except for 2, just gotta find my channel locks now to fix it. Barrel's epoxied into the mag block, now I just have to work up a trigg...

finally got the sections cut out of the barrel for the mag input, air input, and bolt handle.

Now i have to figure out why the piston valve is leaking...

Ohhh I got it now. The red block right before the slide valve is where the air is inputted right? Makes sense, and seems very efficient. This could work pretty well with my piston valve gun in progress.

BTB, can you perhaps post a diagram of what you meant with the whole reversing the slide valve idea? If i'm understanding it right, are you saying you fill from the chamber? Just a little confused, and I'd like to figure it out as I may use it on my current gun, flipping the slide valve would make m...

You fill/exhaust the pilot with a normal piston gun anyway... not much of a difference.

I'm using a slide valve to pilot my piston gun, it works very well, and I'm designing a trigger assembly now

looks awesome! Can't wait to get the bolt, it looks so sexy, and it'll look great with the mag block you machined for me too. I'll definitely post pictures of this when I receive it.

Nope its not you. When I drilled and tapped the hole into the 3/4" endcap at the back of the piston valve, it wasn't perfectly straight.

It's due to the way I made the seat.

Filled up the handle with epoxy to give it a bit more sturdiness.

Gonna start working on the trigger apparatus today.
