I thought about a spring, and it would look neater if the magazine tube was underneath, but I couldn't find any suitable springs and the spring would take up ammo space, so I let Lady Gravity do the work with a little air assistance. My aim was ...

I think I would need a proper meter to measure velocity, I tried to video it with my regular camera but it is just a blur. The 'detent' for the balls is just a magnet, it's not in the first photo as I hadn't glued it on yet. this is how it works. http://i1034.photobucket.com/albums/a425/farcticox/Ai...

And a full auto version
This is what the full auto looked like when it was first assembled for testing. There is a small magnet on the bottom of the T fitting to keep the stack of balls in position ready, as the trigger is pulled the first ball leaves the stack and gravity drops the stack ready for the next shot, fully aut...

First attempt
So here is my first attempt. It is a 300psi pressure washer gun trigger with 1/4" ID stainless tube threaded in, breach load single shot. I run it of my 100psi compressor as I only intend to fire it in my workshop for target shooting. Ammo is 1/4" steel ball bearings. Magnet on left side is ammo mag...
