Hey,
it's mostly because they are so small and cost some money. Decent size spudgun would need one cartridge with every shot..

Re: Arrow shooting "Steampunk" pistol
Good work ! like always !
Whats the max velocity you have got with arrow ? I shoot with hunting compound bows, they can shoot normally at about 250-350fps (76-107m/s) depending about lot of things..

Re: Slow Motion Combustion Video
Bought the Nikon J1, felt like a better bang for the buck. A wonderful camera to have around really. The video was recording on 1200 FPS I think, the J1 can record 400 FPS or 1200 FPS so I'm not entirely sure, it has been a few years. Ah ok, I have Casio (1000fps) : http://www.exilim.eu/euro/exilim...

Re: Pneumatic cannon for launching volleyballs
Hi there ! and welcome to spudfiles ! Remembered this old one :D http://www.spudfiles.com/combustion-cannon-database/topic224.html?hilit=basketball For so low speeds and light weight ammo you could possibly use a long pneumatic cylinder inside a larger pipe "barrel". Actuate the cylinder with fast v...

Re: Small QEV piloting larger QEV
Here is example of how to use QEV for piloting a larger valve (qev or pistonvalve, same way): http://www.spudfiles.com/pneumatic-cannon-database/topic25733.html Sooo fit in a way that the smaller QEV "chamber" is the pilot volume of the larger one. You will fill the main chamber through both QEVs us...

Re: PCP Calculation - Please assist me
You are balancing between muzzle velocity and shots per tank here.. you need to think which one is more important for your use. If you can get the paintball tank filled easily and cheap then you could go for larger chamber etc. Your valve will make a big difference too, I would go for small volume c...

Re: Is this a normally open or closed valve?
By looking at the diagram it's normally closed, and it's also detenting. (push / pull) Meaning that the button will stay in "pushed" position, and you will need to pull it back to change valve position. Probably not what you want..

Re: Frisbee launcher
I would say a rectangular "barrel" with a slightly sloppy fit horizontally, and then having one side of the "barrel" made of a high drag coefficient material like a hard rubber. That was my first idea too :D Not sure if I should go for some type of fast pneumatic cylinder launcher system, because f...

hi it's me again...this is the link for high pressure QEVs...please check it out and let me know what you guys think...http://www.sigma-valves.com/ But why did you post your question to thread that is 10 years old one.. Valve probably is ok, but I think it will cost very much if you buy a new one. ...
