Spark strip

A spark strip is used to provide multiple sparks (to ignight the fuel/air mix in a combustion launcher), but only use two or one (temp link) holes. This is done primarily to ensure the integrity of the launcher, as drilling holes in it isn't exactly good for it.

Multiple ways to do this exist:

  • scratched conductive film:

By scratching thin lines acros a conductive film (metalic paints, CDs) it is possible to get very large numbers of sparks out of a meager scource.

  • wire meathod:

Small pices of wire, or other metalic objects, are attached to the chamber wall. (either directly or indirectly)
