DWV

DWV (Drain, Waste and Vent) is a class of plumbing parts. It is usually not rated for pressure. PVC, ABS and cast iron DWV pipes can explode, resulting in lethal shrapnel. Copper DWV pipe is much cheaper than pressure DWV pipe, but it is still pressure rated. Copper DWV pipe's ratings are in the hundreds of PSI.
