Greetings, I am planning my first spudgun: a 4" chamber 12" long clear PVC, 1.5" barrel 48" long clear rifled PVC, BBQ igniter. I was wondering which upgrade would be better, adding a dual igniter or a mixing fan?

mixing fan. With those specs, a double spark is unnecessary. Still, adding another spark gap doesn't really cost much at all, so if you're set on it, its not a one-or-the-other kind of decision.

I doubt it. Joel doesn't offer chamber fans so this isn't necessarily an order.

He is going to be using a rifled barrel, and Joel is the only person who sells them.

Dual spark gaps are not nessesary. A single, well placed gap works just as well. Chamber fans on the other hand work extremely well, especially with aerosol propellants.

Yeah I would say he is definately odering from Joel with the rifled barrel and clear chamber.

SpudBlaster-I would not say it works as well although I bet you can get it extremely close.

It is nice to see new guys with such creative names. Care to momment Sgort, Rmich. Oh well at least you guys have numbers[:p].

I am talking about his creative(sarcastic) name "dlewis" and his real name is Doug Lewis. That is like you and Rmich except you guys have numbers. Anyways it was just a joke, nothing important.

Thats not what I was saying. I was making a joke about all the people that have their username as the first letter of their first name and then their last name. Some examples are Sgort, Rmich, kinda D Hall, and now dlewis. Dang it nobody ever gets my jokes, oh well.
