12V Strobe Light for Ignition ??

Post questions and info about combustion (flammable vapor) powered launchers here. This includes discussion about fuels, ratios, ignition systems and anything else relevant to launchers powered by igniting things like hairspray or propane.

Has anyone in the Forums ever figured out or posted on how to use a 12 Volt Strobe Light for there Ignition System on their cannon ? I've got one and played around with it but haven't had much sucess. Thanx for your help.....

If you can wire it to an ignition coil it may just work.

It's the kind with a xenon flash tube inside, right?
Just cut one of the main wires to the tube (not the trigger wire), and connect the ignition coil in between. Each time the strobe flashes, the coil will spark.
